Makes my laminate countertop look like new.
Make sure you do this on a day where you can open doors and windows. It has a very strong smell.

Don't even attempt it
I prepared everything I was supposed to in order to paint over my existing gray laminate countertops. I have 2 small countertops on each side of my stove and then an island with my kitchen sink and a wrap around bar. I am not a pro painter but have painted many walls, ceilings and objects in my 61 years and consider myself to be pretty good at it. This is the first time I ever needed to use a foam roller but my thoughts were that is would make it look nice and smooth. WRONG....... First, the smell is absolutely over barring but I could live with it. Second, I poured some paint into a solo cup so I could do the backsplash first and the paint ate right through the cup. Thinking I just had a hole in that cup, I quickly grabbed another cup and doubled up the cups but within 1 minute, it ate through both cups and paint was spilling everywhere. As I am now trying to spread the spilled paint and start rolling out the countertop, I noticed that the paint was not moving so well. I tried to go over it with the roller a few times to even it out but I just keep leaving roller marks all over the countertop. It looked terrible after the 1st coat, so I attempted to put on a second coat. Well, it was just as hard to work with on the 2nd coat as it was the 1st. I bought a different foam roller to apply the 3rd coat, but, it still left roller marks. Deciding, to just leave it as is until I could afford new countertops, I let it dry for 3 days before setting stuff down on the counter..............3 days was NOT long enough. My paper towel holder, which is not that heavy, has now left a permanent circle smack in the middle of the countertop. I have only painted the 2 small countertops next to the stove and have 1 and half cans of this paint left to match the island and bar. I've been putting it off for 2 weeks now. I need to make a decision as to whether to leave them different until I can afford new........ or aggravate myself and keep going with it even though I know it will come out blotchy. All the videos make it look so easy but truth be told.....it is NOT.

better than before, but scratches easy
We had purple laminate countertops and wanted an inexpensive fix to change the color while we are saving up for a kitchen overhaul. Like the other comments, this is very smelly and needs adequate time to dry so it does not become tacky. Even using the foam roller the local Lowe's expert suggested, we still have roller marks and lines. I can live with everything mentioned above, as the smell goes away and you can't totally notice the lines unless you are looking for them, but what I am most unhappy about is how easily it scratches. We have only had the product one for a week (not counting the drying time) and we already have multiple scratches that will need touchups. I don't want to be touching up forever, so we will eventually let it go and just wait on the complete replacement of the laminate for something more durable. All in all, for $20 you can't expect perfection and it is 100 times better than the previous color. But only could give it three stars.

Works great, but strong odor and very sticky.
I'm always skeptical when painting laminiate surfaces. I've had such fickle results, but I really couldn't stand the color of my current counter tops, with it's 90's decor, and I really wasn't in a place to be replacing them with granite. So I figured I would, create my own "faux" granite look with this kit and some sponge paint. This paint works great. It covers very well, if you use the method according to the instructions (foam roller brush). You will have to touch up some spots, especially if your counter was a lighter color. The only drawback to the product is that it contains xylene, and therefore has a very strong odor. I'd suggest a mask, and a lot of ventilation in the room your doing, and keep the door closed so that the rest of the house isn't affected. Better yet, apply and then either go outside and do yard work, or go out somewhere for a little while Wait a couple of hours before touching up or applying a second coat due to tackiness. It dries to the touch in 24 hours, but it takes 3 days to cure, so make sure you don't plan on doing it close to having to make a holiday dinner (if you're painting your kitchen counter).Pros: No priming necessary. Unless your surface is totally smooth, no sanding is necessary either.Cons: Horrid smell, and it permeates your entire house. Proper ventilation is essential. Pretty Sticky. Use disposable tools, because you'll want to throw it all away when you're done. I ended up using my good wooster for cutting in and was extremely lucky to get it to paint thinner in time. Just a heads up. I know the perils of using a crappy brush, so I wasn't really too keen on using one.Bottom line: great product, but given the harsh chemicals in it, I'm not sure I would want to put this on my kitchen counter unless I was putting a top coat on it, like enviro-tex (which I'm doing, even though I'm only doing my bathroom).
