Incredible !!!
I purchased this and then I also purchased the "๐๐ข๐ก๐ Pro Accessories Package Set". A total of 220 euros for both. This is about the same price as I bought my "Work Sharp Ken Onion Edition". I have been using the Ken Onion for about 3 years and was happy with it. I misplaced it and couldn't find it so I bought the complete "HONE system" in case I ever found my "Ken Onion". I have since found my "Work Sharp Ken Onion Edition", but I will probably never use it again. "The HONE system" when used with a bit of patience, sharpens my knives razor sharp, literally, I can shave myself almost as well as using a cutthroat razor, something I could never achieve with "my work sharp". If you have a relatively sharp knife, it perfects it in minutes. I also had a few ever so slightly chipped hi carbon Japanese knives. These each it took over 30 minutes to sharpen. When my knives are sharpened, it takes only a few seconds to retention the edge. The ๐๐ข๐ก๐ ๐๐ป๐ถ๐ณ๐ฒ ๐ฆ๐ต๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฒ๐ฟ is an excellent choice, but if you purchase the "๐๐ข๐ก๐ Pro Accessories Package Set" as well, you will most certainly have one of the best (for me the best) sharpening systems on the market.

HORL quality without the HORL price
I was warned to avoid rolling sharpeners unless I was ready to shell out for a HORL. While HORL is the original and highly regarded in this space, it's also extremely expensive. So I went down the rabbit hole--YouTube videos, online reviews, deep Amazon dives--looking for a worthy alternative that wouldn't break the bank. That's when I came across HONE, a Canadian brand. Most of the lower-priced rolling sharpeners get slammed for weak magnets, poor construction, or cheap sharpening discs. HONE has none of these issues. Build quality is solid, the magnets are strong and reliable, and the sharpening discs feel premium. One feature I use all the time is the small knife pocket on the magnetic base--it holds little blades securely and makes sharpening them easy. I genuinely couldn't be happier with my purchase. All my knives are sharp again, and now I look for excuses to chop things.

It's good - but not perfect!
Well, my Hone Knife sharpener was delivered today and a few hours later, I've no knifes left to sharpen! It's well-made; it works and my knives are a lot sharper than they were before it was delivered (though I am not sure my knives are hair-whittling sharp - even though I splashed out for the 3000 grit disc as well). Slightly disappointed to find I am not supporting Canadian industry. Although designed and engineered in Canada it's still made in China. Also pretty disappointed with the poor quality of the instructions which consists of a QR code pointing you to a YouTube video - where a comment has been left saying: "...the worst instructions in the world..." a comment I'd second. Why "...the worst instructions in the world..." Well, 1) it's not clever when there's spelling mistakes in some of the titles - which, although pointed out by other viewers, haven't been corrected yet. 2) It would have been nice to have some idea of when I select 15 degrees and when I select 20 degrees. I've assumed my wife's Damascus steel knife needs 15 degrees and the rest 20 degrees. 3) some idea of the number of passes with the 400 grit would be nice (it suggests you only need "...a few..." passes with the 1000 grit). 4) what do I do about the tips of the knives - the point where I can no longer roll the Hone straight but have to move it at an angle to get it to align with the edge? Do I stop or do I carry on? Finally, it would be nice if Hone sold the full range of their accessories via Amazon for the benefit of those of us who've invested in the system and don't live in Canada.

Excellent quality, very pleased with results.
This is a superb knife sharpener, solidly built and so easy to use, I wish Iโd got one of these a long time ago instead of the old sharpening steel I used for ages. Itโs not cheap but itโs definitely worth it, excellent packaging which keeps everything tidy when stored.

An excellent knife sharpener.
Iโve always struggled to sharpen my kitchen knives and over the years Iโve tried many different methods. I found sharpening by hand using whetstones too difficult to get consistent results, the Lansky method too laborious, and pull through and electric sharpeners not good enough. So I thought Iโd give a rolling sharpener a go and decided to try the Hone. Itโs just perfect for me. Itโs easy to use, sharpens quickly and efficiently to an excellent level of sharpness. Certainly more than adequate for my needs. A great piece of kit. If your looking at a method/tool to sharpen your kitchen knives to a high standard - donโt hesitate to consider the Hone sharpener.

Excellent worth every penny get it you won't be disappointed
I spent ages researching these and eventually got this one. I'm very pleased. It is a heavy item and the bearings are very smooth. The stand takes small or large knives, and the magnets are really strong to hold the knife secure. I have a knife that was too hard a steel to sharpen normally but with this Hone sharpener, it is now ultra sharp. If in any doubt and you want a sharpener get this one, you won't be disappointed.

Best knife sharpener
I've been getting a ton of Facebook ads for a rolling knife sharpener lately, so naturally, my curiosity got the better of me โฆ. att first, I was tempted to buy it right away, but I thought, "Why not check out some comparison videos first?" Thank goodness I did. The original sharpener from Germany looked top-notch but was way out of my price rangeโฆ.. the one that kept appearing in the ads had a flood of negative reviews talking about it jamming after a while, which was a huge red flag for me. As I continued my search โฆ.. I stumbled upon some videos featuring the HONE Knife Sharpener. The reviewers' positive feedback caught my attention, so I decided to take a leap of faith and purchase it. The return policy and 10-year warranty on manufacturerโs website gave me some peace of mind, just in case it didn't live up to the hype. Well, let me tell you, this sharpener exceeded my expectations. I've never had knives this sharp before. The company's claims were spot on. It's incredibly easy to use, with a solid, heavy-duty build. The two-sided reversible discs are a fantastic feature, making the whole process quick and effective. My knives are now sharper than ever before โ almost frighteningly so. It's made cooking so much more enjoyable and fun, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. If you're thinking about getting one, I say go for it. You won't regret it.

HONE Knife Sharpener is a game-changer!
I've used several knife sharpeners over the years, but the HONE Knife Sharpener truly stands out for its ease of use and precision. The rolling design allows for a smooth, consistent sharpening motion that ensures your knives are honed to perfection every time. It works on a wide variety of blades, including chefโs knives, cleavers, and most non-serrated edges, giving them a razor-sharp finish with minimal effort. What I love most is how beginner-friendly it isโthere's no guesswork. Simply roll it along the blade a few times, and you're good to go. The unique design also makes it easy to store, and it doesn't take up much counter space. Plus, itโs built with high-quality materials, so you can tell it's designed to last. To take your sharpening to the next level, I also highly recommend the HONE Pro Accessories Kit. It includes everything you need to keep your knives razor sharpโadditional sharpening discs, and even a leather strop. Another fantastic add-on is the HONE Knife Holder Extension. It provides a longer platform for your knives during the sharpening process, giving you more control and making the sharpening even safer and more efficient. Itโs especially useful for longer knives, and makes the process smoother for those who want an extra layer of precision. Overall, if youโre serious about maintaining your knives and want a hassle-free experience, the HONE Knife Sharpener paired with the Pro Accessories Kit and Knife Holder Extension is unbeatable! Highly recommend

Great sharpener. Can be used with big or small knives -- Has replaceable disks
I had seen a review of the Hone on the Zsa.io blog because I had bought one of their keyboards. I had been wanting one of these types of sharpeners. Since Zsa had mentioned how much they liked it I decided to give this one a try. I am not disappointed. This is a really good and easy to use sharpener. I have several different kinds of sharpeners including Japanese Naniwa whetstones. Those are really nice and they will get your knives extremely sharp. My problem with them is that I tend to scratch up my blades when I sharpen them. I don't really care, but I do have a knife with a nice pattern on the blade and I was hoping not to ruin it. I had been holding off on sharpening it for that reason. With this sharpener, the sharpening disks only ever touch your knife edges. They never touch the flat of your blade. And since the roller is on ball bearings it's very smooth and you can get a really fast rhythm going. This is good since it makes the sharpening much less of a chore. A few other things I like about it: - It feels very heavy and well made. - The sharpening disks are replaceable. You can buy other ones with varying coarseness on their website. I don't think any other rolling sharpener has this ability except for a very expensive one I had been looking at. - The holder is very practical. Each side is used for a different purpose. 2 of the sides are for 15 and 20 degree big and normal sized knives. The other 2 sides are for 15 and 20 degree small knives. I tried it with my paring knife and it works great. Looking at the holders of competing rollers, I don't think you can use them with small knives in any practical way? The knives would slide around too much since magnets are the only thing holding them to the rubber. - It comes in a gift worthy magnetic closing box. Inside the box there's text that recommends you keep the box and use it to store the sharpener and holder. It says it will keep other things safe from the magnets when sealed in the box. This seems true since the box is really well padded with foam on the inside. - Finally, the price is very reasonable. The only thing I would recommend that they improve is that they should include instructions in the box, or even just a QR code to online instructions on the "thank you" card that they include in the box. I have to admit I looked at the knife holder and it took me a while to make heads or tails of it. It isn't obvious what the sides are to someone who hasn't seen pictures or a video of it in use. They are labelled 15 and 20 but I didn't know some sides were for small knives, other sides are for large. I realize now the Amazon listing has a video... But most videos on Amazon are terrible and a waste of time so I have to admit I don't usually watch them, and I didn't watch this one haha.

Great product - top quality and so effective
Love this product - works well and easy to use. Ive mothballed my Nirey and Lansky sharpeners. The magnets are very strong and the sharpening wheels are reversable for extended life. Also have a 15degree option for my Shun knife - you will not be disappointed with the Hone

Foolproof Knife Sharpener - A Must Have
The Hone Knife Sharpener System is easy to use and ensures a sharp blade. Maintaining the proper angle on many knife sharpeners is difficult, the Hone System guarantees the proper angle to ensure a sharp blade. They also make a number of accessories such as many grit discs which enhance the sharpening experience. It has ballbearings so the sharpening action is perfectly smooth. I previously purchased a knock off brand and it didnโt have a smooth motion. The Hone System is excellent. I purchased the basic system and the accessories kit and can highly recommend Hone.
