I have a neighbor who seems to be breeding cats in her house and when she let's them out they head straight for my yard. I just received this and put it out, and sure as rain here comes one of the cats, (I'm watching this on the security camera) and suddenly the cat does a back flip and runs off. Finally I have something to rid me of these cats. Thanks to the maker. Love, love, love this. I'm using the plug in instead of the batteries, makes more sense to me since I want these cats gone. The quality is good and the functionality is fantastic. It's set to the highest sensitivity sofar it works beautifully.

I am sorry to have to do this, but am rescinding my excellent rating from February. Though the info below was true, the second unit went kaput mid-August. Won't operate with electricity or various sets of new batteries. Though it worked great for half a year, now it doesn't work at all. Considering the cost of the unit plus three sets of batteries at around $10 each, I don't consider 6 months of usefulness for $100 to be worth it. :-( Previous review: I began to see a red fox on my property ~a month ago, including daytime. I have chickens and cats so I needed a solution. I did my research--saw the CLEANRTH TSAR550 listed on a couple of unrelated sites recommending it specifically for fox. It runs on batteries and electricity instead of solar. I live in the woods so solar is not useful. I found where the fox was entering (jumping 4' fence) and did 2 things--wolf urine tags and this device. I tested it daily, and after a week there was something wrong with the test button, as it kept clicking whether up or down. I connected with the company, which had sent info on their great customer service, and happily found it to be true. They replaced the defective unit and the new one so far seems to be working well. They even sent a personal note with the new unit that they had tested it before sending. I really appreciate companies that stand behind their products. I haven't seen the fox at all (updated mid-July now). Good service and products deserve comment. I am editing and adding a comment on batteries. My first set ran out in a week, but they'd been around awhile. I put in brand new and they lasted 5 months, running 24/7.

I LOVE this product. Neighborhood cats have been peeing on our front porch for the last two years and using my garden beds as a litter box, while the deer have been helping themselves to my plants. I have not seen even one cat on our porch since installing this sensor and my garden beds have been untouched by deer or cats. Also, I know it works because the deer came through one night and munched on my neighbor's tomatoes but left mine, which are like 3 feet away, untouched, The only deer damage we have had all season was a night when the battery died but I hadn't bothered to change it yet. The only reason I am giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is that, if you don't have an outlet near your garden, you have to use batteries and it uses a ton of them. Granted, there's a lot of activity around my gardens, with kids playing, etc but I end up having to change the batteries once every two weeks. Of course you can always turn it off in the morning and turn it back on at night, but if you space out you run the risk of deer getting to your stuff. Hopefully in the future they come up with a solar-powered version, but in the meantime, be prepared to buy batteries in bulk.

We’ve been waking up to our garden being dug up and a mess, even though it’s winter. The trails were getting uncomfortably close to our home, and after recently dealing with rodent issues, I wanted to make sure whatever was disturbing the garden stayed away. This product comes with directions stating that you should see progress in about two weeks, but I think it’s already working after just one week! We haven’t seen any mess in the garden for the past couple of days, which is such a relief. So far, it seems to be doing exactly what it promises.

I bought my first unit on 6/11/2020 to repel the deer who were eat my wife's roses. Worked great for that and the roses have been in full bloom. Bought a second unit on 7/15/2020 for another part of our large flowerbed that was being torn up by an armadillo. I know it is an armadillo because I bought a wildlife camera and have it on a video doing its work. I have tried several locations for at least a week at a time in each place but no luck with repelling this guy. Moved it two days ago to the location in the photo and you can see the damage done last night. Also, even though the first unit is keeping the deer away, the armadillo has dug up the bed around the rose bushes. So neither unit is repelling this guy. Maybe this armadillo is deaf. Extra star because it did work on the deer.

I personally did not have any use for this product at my own home, so I took it over to my sisters where they have been struggling with rodents of all types (rats, groundhogs, other things that burrow in the ground, and a few vicious dogs that her neighbors let roam free that have attacked one child and my sisters own dog, and she has two small boys that love the yard as well) so I took this device over there. It is slightly tricky, because she has a dog too so I am not sure if it is harming her in any way (she seems okay but we have kept her inside while we use this) and so far, I think it is working? I am not sure if it is the device or the change in the seasons, but there seem to be less pests. The vicious dogs still hang around the fence but now seem less interested than they used to be, but that could be attributed to other things as well. Also, I have realized that this thing uses up batteries like crazy, so we have not been using it 24/7 (and so her dog can be outside sometimes without being adversely affected, too.) But it seems like it could be making a difference? She seems happy with it and has told me that she is, so I will check back in a few months. Additionally, I don’t know who makes the rating parameters above, but the “thickness” and “warmth” areas that we are expected to rate this product in make no sense for this specific product.

It arrived very fast and set up was easy. I put by the garden and so far nothing has gotten into it. It’s not super big so it doesn’t stick out. The battery last awhile. Not sure about the value for money since this is the first unit of its kind for animal/pest control that I’ve ever bought. Wanted to try something new instead of using chemicals.
