Clarity E814CC Amplified Corded Hearing impaired Phones for Elderly (E814CC Base Phone)

My mom has difficulty hearing and our phone conversations were punctuated by "What did you say" every other sentence. This phone delivered a clear loud sound so that she was able to hear my responses and increased our communication. There were more features than I need with this phone but her being able to listen clearly certainly made it worth the price. I would like to have had more ringer options on the phone. That would be my only drawback. A good value and my mom and I now have good conversations.

Although the phone is described on Amazon to assist in cases of moderate hearing loss, I first learned of it elsewhere where it was recommended more for low vision. I purchased the phone set to assist my aged relative, who has recently lost most of his remaining eyesight to AMD. He also has almost no hearing in one ear and does not hear particularly well with the other. I chose this phone primarily for the large labels on the large major buttons and the high contrast coloring (white labelling on black surface). Visually the phone works exceptionally well. I haven't really evaluated the audio level or quality, but it is sufficient for the intended user. The separate programmable dialing buttons allow one-button dialing for a few numbers. Getting a second, portable phone was a bonus. The digital display is not usable for low vision, and the answering system controls--at least for playback and delete--would need to be larger. The biggest problem the user and I have had with the phone is that the handset does not hang up firmly. It is too easy for someone with any loss of hand dexterity to fail to reseat the handset fully, I think the design there is deficient even for the temporarily able-bodied.

Much easier to set-up than most others. However, the only thing I I can hear from is the speaker. Load enough. The hand set sound is very weak and the handset keeps changing /messing with my digital hearing aid. This is my 3rd amplified landline (returned previous 2), and I'm not real pleased with i. But, I guess I just have to live with it.

This product was clearly a returned phone. NO power adapter or cable to connect to phone jack. The batteries were rolling around the bottom of the box, and they were dead. The manual was worn. The phone arrived on my doorstep in the original box with a mailing label stuck to the outside and a single piece of tape sealing the box.My situation did not allow me to return for a new phone, so I had to scrounge my electronics for an adapter to fit.Other than that, the phone itself is great! Clear sound and very loud. Perfect for elderly parents.

This is good for my mother. She has difficulties hearing and the volume is loud enough for her.

Don't waste your time or money purchasing this phone system it's terrible the sound is not great quality the performance is horrible the ease of setup was good for it however the value was was good too as well which is why I purchased it should not I purchased for my mother who is 90 years old terrible absolutely terrible you can barely hear on this thing even with it all the way up performance is horrible. Don't waste your money in my opinion
