Perfect for Home Barbers
Don't normally write reviews but thought I might as well for this one as the kemei line is trending and it may help someone out in the long run. I normally cut hair for family members and friends and this trimmer I must say is a game changer. This pocket rocket packs a powerful punch with a high rpm, paired with the heavy but durable metal casing, is not representative to the price at all because it feels like it costs alot more than it does. But I'm glad it costs how much it does because I'm not a professional by any means and do not make as much as normal barbers do, and so I got this as an upgrade to my generic andis trimmer for line ups.The digital dash is also perfect as it gives you an indicator when you may want to charge it rather than it dying out on you in the middle of a cut, and that leads onto the battery life. I've used it maybe 7 times since I bought it (initially at 73% battery on arrival) and I haven't had to charged it at all, it's now only just hit 32% which is crazy to me.The blade is the typical kemei blade, similar to the 2299 it cuts through hair like a hot knife through butter and because it's almost zero gapped it gets quite a close cut. For the most part I use this trimmer for debulking and it absolutely does what it's says on the tin in no time. The only issue is even though it has a T blade the blade is not sharp enough for much detailing work like creating visible c cups on shorter fades. But line ups are perfect. However, I'm not too concerned by this because, unlike the 2299, the 2293 model design has been made compatible for blade mods and you can quite easily replace it with one of the more sharper American blades for better detailing work and it still works out bags cheaper than the typical household names (e.g. Andis, Tpob etc.)Overall, really good trimmer. If they made hair clippers as good of quality as some of their trimmers then kemei would have been quite easily competing with all these big boy name brands. But irrespective, it's still an unsung hero for what it's worth.

Too sharp and cannot adjust blade length to zero gap
Build quality seems good for the price but the blade is too sharp, I have cut my self on first use as blade gets under the thin first layer of skin - you have to be very careful. Cannot zero gap as if dissembled you won’t be able to adjust. Compared to my wired wahl detailer it’s much more smooth blade, never cut me and it’s much more precise after zero gapping. Would not recommend.
