I purchased this for voice over work and recording music. I have had no problems so far and I enjoy the crisp/clear sound it always provides, whether I’m whispering or screaming.

The media could not be loaded. I have always been a big Amazon reviewer and, at one point, moved into the Top 100. I am venturing into some of that on the side and a website dedicated to sleep apnea among veterans. I needed to update my gear to accommodate some of my YouTube videos, CPAP mask reviews, and tips and tricks. I bought this little mic with that activity in mind. I have created a short recorded review using the mic so you can judge for yourself.Given the price and the small form factor, it exceeded my expectations. If you purchase and go through the packaging, look for the orange cable (about 8" long). The charging case and little windscreen are a plus, too. In my opinion, this little mic is worth the $99 paid. It will work for its intended purpose.

I was extremely disappointed from the get go. The item arrived in a plastic bag (shown in the picture). It didn't come in a box like I've seen in the other customer reviews. Nor did it come with a charging cable and windscreen, which the description says it should.I tried out the mic just out of curiosity. It was okay. It works. It sounded decent.But I was just really bummed out at how I received the item. So disappointed

I'm not sure if 3 or 4 stars is better. The quality of the microphone is good, it is steady on the base, the clear indication of mute/unmute is good, and being able to control both microphone and system volume with the dial is very handy.Problem is this mic is listed as being directional. But I can stand 8 feet away at a 90 degree angle from the microphone and still be heard without a problem. This is supposed to be a directional microphone, and a normal speaking voice that far away at a 90 degree angle shouldn't be part of the receptive area.

it gets the job done and for $30 I guess I can't ask for more? I ended up with the Rode PodMic XLR ($99). I felt that my headset had better performance than the JBL. The software felt lackluster and felt a bit unnecessary as there were not any features I couldn't access on the mic or elsewhere on my computer.The sound was not anything to write home about and there are better options out there. I think a fair price for this would be about $15

The media could not be loaded. This video basically sums up the quality of this mic. I had whitenoise going and it filtered that out pretty nicely. I’m also glad this is made in the US—I don’t want to pair my phone with just anything that’s out there. I got this for a great price at the start of December ($49) so I hope JBL can keep it around this price! We’re all not six-figure influencers. Some of us just need to record coursework.
