Three Pride and Prejudice Variation Novellas: Besieged Heiresses, Why Wed? and Is Esteem Enough?

I really did not enjoy this collection. Usually stories from this author are enjoyable and very readable but these were stilted, almost like a synopsis with no warmth or depth to the characters.Would not recommend at all….sorry.

I have read all but the first story in this collection of novellas. I liked the premise of each story, with “Why Wed?” being my favorite of the three. I rated this with only three stars due to a lack of coherence in the writing…especially in the first story. Not sure if this is related to the brevity of the stories, but for some reason there was just a lack of transition between scenes that left me wondering what I missed. Even a longer break between paragraphs could have served to let me know a transition had occurred. A few times I had to go back and read previous paragraphs to try and determine if I missed something. Unfortunately, that’s never a good sign in a book.
