Already have a microchip catflap from this company fitted to an external door and it's brilliant.I needed another flap for an internal door so purchased this simpler model along with the tunnel.I made the hole in the door using the template/jigsaw and fitted the unit through, but the problem comes trying to get the 4 fixing bolts in position.The holes in the flap for the bolts are so close to the tunnel that it's impossible to drill separate holes for the bolts so they end up squashed inbetween the hole and the tunnel, which deforms it.Once the bolts come out the other side fitting and tightening the tiny nuts is very difficult too, particularly if you've had to trim the bolts like I did due to our door thickness.It took 2 of us a good couple of hours to finalise the bolt fitting, which is not ideal.The flap does work well and our cat took to using it straight away, but was a totally different experience to fitting the other model, which was a doddle.

The screws are so tiny with the washers it’s hard to get them in took a lot of patience ! They are too near the plastic but easy to cut out and put in the wooden door we had .

I bought it for my cat to build into the conservatory. I used glue to fix rather than screw.There were three lengths of screws anyway.

This product is great for the money, the last one lasted 5 years I think and boy does it get used, in, out, in, out all day long! The only negative really is the installation of the 8 bolts. They are too long for most doors so you need to cut them prior to install and then getting the holes lined up is challenging but you must also be extremely careful when cutting the main hole for the door so the hole is not too big and you still have enough to drill the holes for the bolts. That being said once done with great accuracy the door is the best on the market. The lock feature works but it's not super easy to use every day so we don't, luckily we have a secondary inner door that locks instead

just what the cat needed.

It’s good, but my bold cat struggles to get through it as the magnet is so strong. So we have had to prop it open for him. Doesn’t have a locking system other than the magnet part, I was hoping for a proper lock so it couldn’t open if something tried to push on the flap. It’s easy to get through it from the outside but going through it from the inside is harder for the cat. It has a design case flap around the main window flap, both of these have to be raised up for the cat to get through. So it’s quite a heavy push.

No installed yet but the product appears great

My beagles whiz in and out of this medium sized doggy door. When their cavalier friends visit they seem unable to understand the workings of this flap. I don’t blame the goods, rather the breed. I think cavaliers might be a bit simple.
