Works good
Needed a chrono quick and this came in 24hrs. Was a bit skeptical but after taking it in the field, it did its job. Sometimes you have to let it reset or move it in different areas of the barrel to get a reading but not bad

Worth the money
My friends and I have been playing paintball for a few years and none of us had a meter or have our guns measured before and we've always adjusted everyone's gun visually, that is until I got this. Now all of our markers are shooting about the same speed and nobody's complaining about someone's gun is too fast, etc. Simple construction and easy to use, better if you have two people together one shoots and one measures, we were able to measure about 20 guns in less than 10 minutes, it's a must have for any groups of paintball players like us.

Once you get the battery and setup you’re good to go!
So, I purchased this product and then proceeded to purchase the incorrect batteries, I then had to wait again for the second round of batteries to come from Amazon. That was yesterday, on my 30 day mark to return or keep this item. I am so glad to have kept it. THIS USES 1/3N batteries and NOT 3V batteries (look like quarters). I recommend Duracell 1/3N batteries in the single pack. Now for the product… the instructions are very well written and somewhat useful. They have all of the information you need to get up and running and more. With that said, once the fresh batteries were placed I threw paintballs infront of this Chrono and proceeded to blow them out of my barrel just to test it out since it was late at night. Nothing… no reading, no sensing. Being nervous if this device was broken I understood a certain FPS needs to be achieved for this product to read correctly. So today, I took out my marker with paint and air, and placed the Chrono at the tip of the barrel against the advice of the instructions. PERFECTION! Provided me with accurate 278-284FPS readings on my marker consistently and worked great! The plastic shell feels somewhat durable but I’d keep this in the case and not in your pocket when not in use. Be careful as the screws look easily stripped; however, for $60 this thing is a great deal and necessity for anyone serious about PB.Key points:Buy CORRECT 1/3N Duracell BatteryTest only with a PB gun and not your handsFinally, ditch the strap as other reviewers have said, the idea is there but this device will not read whatsoever if placed behind the barrel like the instructions say in my experience. Just take off the strap and use this like a normal Chrono that you’d hold at the tip of the barrel and you’re set.4/5 for no battery which is stated here but a big pain and also, printed instructions with a few unhelpful tips that should not be followed if you want this to really work for you. Highly recommend purchasing but do research to ensure you have it function correctly.

Great old school chrono
Doesnt come with a battery… had to go hunt one down at a hardware store. $7.. shouldn’t have to worry about that. This same chrono has been out for about 20 years.. still would recommend it

A definite must for the serious player.
I play a lot of woodsball in a rural area, and the nearest place to chrono up your marker is a 3 hour round trip. This is simply put the best accessory to have in your gear bag. Chrono after a tear-down in the back yard, accurately chrono anyone's marker in a flash. Small and durable enough to take out in the field, reliable enough to deliver accurate readings consistently. Keeps you and the people you fire high speed projectiles at safe, and at a modest price.

Completely false advertisement
I did a lot of research, trying to find the best chronograph for around $100.00. I should of just spent the extra $60 and got a really nice one.1. It says battery included, so even with it saying that I went and ordered some 3V lithium batteries (CR-1/3N) , just to be sure.2. Package arrives today 1/25/21 and I was so excited to open it and mess with my paintball gun. Well as soon as you open the package is says battery not included . Okay no worries I got another battery. I go to put the battery in... there’s no place for the battery to connect. I take off the 4 mini screws on the back, nothing. Take off the 2 mini screws on the front, nothing. WTF? How are you going to say battery included then there’s not even a place to put the battery!!I mean seriously , how does this thing not have a spot for a battery to go in. So now I have batteries for something that doesn’t even use them.3. Thirdly, even if it did work. Read all the reviews because when you read the instructions it says it only shows 2 digits. So if you need the gun to shoot 270, it will show up as 2 then blank screen, then 70. Extremely bogus.4. Will be returning for sure. Don’t buy , spend the extra and get something that’s actually nice and actually shows all the entire number. I mean really how hard is it to show three digits.

Very Innaccurate. Stick with the 'big red button' style handheld.
I have had these in the past and found them quite accurate for a handheld. However this one is a slightly different model and it is unusable. My first shot through a double chrono (this one and a professional ballistic chrono) read 289 on this handheld and 275 on the professional. The second shot read 564 on this handheld and 278 on the professional.Same innacurracy on all tests. Completely unusable.
