Another great product from Melissa & Doug. Food boxes are made with a good sturdy cardboard so withstand being throw around when my 18 month old manages to get her hands on them! Pretend tins also great especially as you can take the lidoff these. Shopping basket nice and sturdy too. Chose this over a plastic basket as a lot of the reviews on the plastic ones advised handles came off easily. Although this was more expensive than plastic baskets, I didn't want to keep spending time having to keep putting the handles back on. I'd definitely say in this case you get what you pay for.

This is very good value. Good quality basket and food products. My son has a shop and I didn't bother with the basket, but he kept asking for one. Saw this and it is a perfect addition. The food is cardboard and plastic lids, but good quality. Comes neatly packaged in the basket, so would make a great present (have M&D wooden food groups too).

Fab little set they are ultimately just cardboard boxes but they're quite sturdy compared with others I've seen.

Just as expected, nice collection of shopping items, as with anything I've bought from M&D, good quality stuff, well made, especially the sturdy basket. They could be a little smaller (they are about the same size as the real supermarket stuff) but that's just personal opinion as they take up lots of space in our 'shop' and look very oversized compared with the 'usual' smaller pieces that are around.

The ‘products’ inside are really rubbish - just cardboard boxes and cardboard ‘tins’.Quite disappointing for Melissa and Doug. The basket is cute and a good size for toddlers but we’ve replaced with stuff from the kitchen when we go pretend shopping.

Perfectas para la despensa :P se ven súper coquetas además se abren las latas en cuanto a las cajitas de cartón pues bueno he decidido forrarlas con mica adhesiva para que duren un poco más la verdad que podrían ser de plástico las cosas los peques les encanta jugar con agua y no son Yam cuidadosos en su mayoría pero les doy 5 estrellas por la canasta y la creatividad para hacer juguetes presurosos y que les encantan a los niños y a los padres quizás más a nosotros 🙈 esta marca tiene cosas divinas y muy recomendables

I was so delighted in the quality and size of this basket. It really does look and feel like a scaled-down version of an adult grocery basket. I bought this for my niece for Christmas so I can't speak to the plastic packaging that seems to have been the undoing of some other reviewers - that's her parents' problem, not mine lol. I just know that I love this gift and I hope she does too. Because if she doesn't, I would happily play with it instead lol.

Excellent little set. I got this to accompany the Melissa and Doug Grocery store and my son absolutely loves it. The basket is like a miniature real one, very sturdy. The foods are a super strong cardboard, not flimsy at all so I believe they'll hold up well. Great set!
