Q: What is the texture? Is it smooth or lumps of ginger?

If you're familiar with marmalade, this is very much like it in terms of its texture. It is a jelly with bits of ginger in it. It is fairly sweet but has a ginger kick :)

Q: Is the ginger in this sourced from China?

Its made in Scotland....and is delicious. Wouldn't buy it if it comes from China.

Q: Is this spiced ginger preserves? Description says spiced, but jar doesn't, please verify if these are the spiced ginger preserves.

The Ingredients list is: Sugar, Ginger, Lemon juice (from concentrate), Gelling agent: fruit pectin, MIXED SPICE, acidity regulator: citric acid. Though the label doesn't say spiced the ginger preserve is spiced. The spice used is probably proprietary information that is not released to protect the product.
