Species II - Collector's Edition 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray [4K UHD]

If you're a fan of this franchise this is a must have. Not sure why, blurays of this movie must've stopped being made because eBay had this movie for ridiculous prices. Definitely glad this came out.

Saw this one a long time ago.Couldn't remember much about it.Bought it to go with my copy of the first Species movie.Great movie. What endears me to this movie is a concept rarely mentioned.An alien race gets one of our radio transmissions sent to find intelligent life and responds twice. The first response is a gift. The second a weapon designed to destroy all life on our planet.And we stupid humans actually make it.These movies might be grade B monster movies but they convey an important message.Mainly that transmitting a message into deep space is like a small animal making a noise in the forest.Its not just dumb, its suicidal.Rabbits don't make noise for a reason.As for tecnical bits the second Species is done as well as the first. A real thrill ride.You could do worse

Really good movie!!!! I had to get this since I have the first one.... I liked the graphics better on this but I like the story on the first one more.... Nice purchase!!!!

The print wasn't anything to write home about. Nothing stuck out as mind blowing in the transfer.

A one of a kind horror movie

Very good science fiction movie, great action, Natasha Henstridge delivers again, Shout did a fantastic job on the 4K restoration, the bonus features were great , worth owning

Product arrived with no damage and as announced on release day

I loved it! Just as much if not a bit more than the first film. Why? There seemed more plot. More sex/nudity (sorry, but it's a fact), definitely more gore and SFX - and the lovely Marg helgenberger returning as the scientist responsioble for "Eve" - Henstridge, sadly rather wasted here. The main role instead taken by Justin Lazard (me neither), who gets a special billing - "And Jason Lazard" - very important that!. Still I suppose he is the male eqivalent of "Sil/Eve" ie very handsome, good body that he shows off (some discreet male nudity in the sex scenes), and he can act a bit too. Madsen is back and George Dzunda does a wonderful scene stealing performence as the necessary military "bad guy". Well paced, some scary yuck moments, lovely girls and boys. Great fun. Adults only. Interesting extras. Good picture, sound AND Subtitles.
