Action Packed Sci-Fi that is totally Outstanding in every way!
This is the 2nd in the Necrospace series and follows on from the first, although it is several years later. Samuel Hyst is again the main character and the story follows him as he continues on as a Space Marine, one of ‘The Reapers’, trying to earn enough money to pay back the debt that he and his family owe to the Corporation. As with the first book, Sam is still with his unit, trying to survive, again with Ben.At the start of this book, the characters talk over a few of their past missions, and we also learn that Sam has had some medical care that has not only replaced his spine through injury, but earned him a lot of extra debt. This is a really fast paced, action packed book, with brilliant descriptions and dialogue of the combat scenes in this story.Eventually the Marines are sent to an Up and Down Spire, a Massive City that used to be full of the upper class, before it fell to the lower class and other assorted creatures. Without giving too much away, this is where the book gets exceptional in action that the Marines are put through, the combat scenes, and the descriptions of the overall impact that this combat has on Samuel and his combat team, not just physically, but psychologically. Argo really tries to give us an understanding of how it feels in the underhives of the city, the raw emotions of the Marines, and the brutality of Marine combat. This is an excellent and well-crafted story, totally enthralling that once you start, you won’t be putting down. Can’t wait to read the third in the series!

I really enjoyed this book
I really enjoyed this book. the author really captures the imagination with a future where capitalism runs amok and the individual becomes just another cog in the corporate machine. aliens, space marines and dystopian planetary corporations... can't go wrong!

Worth the read.
Not bad. Premise seems based upon Warhammer 40K. Probably the best of the series thus far, to me.

Dark future goodness
The author continues to get better. The first book in this series was quite good, but I found myself struggling to do the day-to-day necessities while there were still pages to be read in this second book. Gritty and dark, with a great sense of immersion.

This book described some new threats and species to be dealt with. Very imaginative low and high tech villains available. An awesome read!

Cracking read
The story while I wont deny has techbical issues (some minor spelling mistakes and such) these are easy negated and cancelled out by a compelling story with interesting characters just I cant help but feel I know.Warhammer 40k book readers will enjoy this space romp as it close enough in tone but different enough to not be the same.

Redelijk goed
Niet meer zo origineel als het eerste deel. Maar nog steeds spannend en zeer leesbaar. De plot ontwikkelt zich verder.

good story , but lacking in density.
I really like the story , the author does a great job of setting the dismal scene. But I wish there was more substance to the characters and back story or even he storyline itself. I will read the next one, I still liked it , hopefully the the author will have more time to spend on the it.
