My other half has a bad back and when he gets too warm at night, his back is sore the following day. In an attempt not to spend $500+ on a whole bed cooling situation which would undoubtedly end up in me freezing during the night, for a while he was sleeping on one of those pet cooling mats, but it would get warm during the night and turn into basically a heating pad, so not a good solution. A friend of mine bought this unit and said she loves it, and I liked that it can be placed on one side of the bed. We took a gamble on it, and it was entirely worth it. He loves this thing and his back pain has been significantly reduced. I do occasionally roll onto it a little during the night and immediately recoil because he has it set to frigid, but it’s definitely worth the occasional uncomfortable moment for him to have relief. The only con to the unit so far has been that it cannot really be disassembled for cleaning. We run a little bit of bleach through the system every so often and only use filtered water in it, but it would be nice to have the ability to take it apart and thoroughly clean it. It’s not enough of an inconvenience to take a star away. If you get hot at night, order it!

I purchased this even though it only had 2 reviews at the time because it was cheaper than many of the other available. I expected that maybe it would work for a short period of time and then I would invest in a more expensive version, but it is going strong after 2 months of daily use. It does go through a fair amount of water, but it never runs out during a night’s sleep. After initially filling it, now I just add a 16oz bottle of purified water before going to bed each night and there is still water in the unit in the morning. I put it over a mattress protector and then put another mattress protector over it so it wouldn’t be quite as cold and more comfortable. I have an adjustable bed and it still works perfectly with it. Highly recommend. If you like to sleep with a little white noise this is perfect.

When purchased there was a $20.00 discount making it well worth the money, mine works great, it gets really cold, I had to add a blanket, I put it on low after it gets cold, low noise, easy to use, sometimes it will shift out of place, but that could be because of moving a lot. I’m very satisfied with this purchase

power cord died less than 2 months

When I got this product I was hoping it would cool me down in my sleep. So I would not wake up sweating. Meanwhile since I set it up put the water in which I don’t know why it requires so much of. It has not worked one night. Even though I followed the crappy instructions thoroughly, That was written by a four year old. And had this running for 5+ nights it has helped not at all. At this point I would recommend just getting (a) fan(s) and or (a) cooling blanket(s). Btw this was a birthday gift.

you never know what saves your life in a hot Texas summer. I can sleep on this thing forever it is amazing!! Just one thing don't overfill the water, leave it some space if you intend to move the mat somewhere I mess that up. It cools instantly, I usually leave it on the lowest power because it is quiet and just the right temperature to sleep all night. It's the perfect size for a sofa.
