5 star all the way.
This is a great tool and works perfectly and is definitely a quality product. Service with this vendor was awesome. I got my product the next morning after ordering it and was able to use it straight out of the box. Even my co-workers liked this and now are planning on ordering one for themselves. I'm very happy with this product and the vendor and I give them 5 stars all the way and would most definitely buy this again.

good but pink neiko is better
I have gone through 2 of these and 3 pink neikos. I use them every day for work on hardened die steel and to work in the weld on repairs. Also to scarf out porosity and to use for engraving. They will last for 5-10 years with light use but for every day work even the $500 dynabrides breakdown. That is why these are so good for $39 when i breaks a new one is so very affordable. I always keep a new backup.So.. after using both this and the Neiko over 5 years i went through 5. I work with molten aluminum so i have had the hoses melt a few times. With the pink Nieko simply cut the hose and screw the rest back in and tightent the clamp. For that the Neiko is far superior. The astro hose is crimped so it is much more difficult to fix. I discarded the entire line and out a steel braided like on and crimped it. The neiko is better i like the blue color better but performance us hat matters. These 2 are the only ones worth buying the soiux and chicago pnuatic. Are 3 times the price but only offer a 10% performance boost if even that.. for 99% of jobs these pencils l ginders get the job done, but for that once in a year job the faster turbine grinders 75,000rpm i think are much easier. They are insanely expensive and break down often.******Important these are pencil grinder and do need to be oiled. Do not go overboard just 1-2 drops every day of use. Get too much in there it will slow it down.Much worse though is not to use oul at all some who came from turbine grinders which dont use oil make the mistake of not oiling them. They get very hot and will run slower and slower. Buy the neiko it is the better buy. Either way this tool is soo handy even if i did not work in tool and die i would buy one. Just a very handy tol.

Great little tool
I ordered this after I was unable to find my old Dremel tool, I have a full size die grinder but I needed to use some smaller felt bits in order to polish a project in some tight areas. So I ordered this tool along with a cheap 100 pack of polishing bits.I have been using this for a few different projects since then, and so far everything is great.Brand name Dremel bits fit, as do some cheapie off brand bits.Very smooth operation, and it's much easier to control than my old Dremel.Another thing is the plastic tube thing that it has on the air line, push that onto the end of the tool and you get a nice little muffler!I have been keeping the tool well lubricated with every use, and extra important as I want it to break in nicely.I also saw several different choices, but I have had very good luck with Astro with some other air tools. So I figured it was worth the few extra bucks.I don't know how much air this would use, the line seems pretty small, so I assume it would be easy with a smaller tank...My 60 gallon 2 stage hardly notices it, only cycling a few times when running it.I will note that I was surprised that it even cycled that second time.Overall, I'm happy!Better than a Dremel, and I have one more tool to justify the cost of having my air compressor!

1/8” collet die grinder, AP218
I love AP for starters. I owned a Neiko and it lasted one year and I attempted to drill a hole using a bit you can’t drill with and it bounced off and bent the chuck. When I got the AP my 1/8” collet was too small and couldn’t actually get a 1/8” bit in the collet so I removed the one from the bent Neiko and used it. It is perfect in every way. I ordered some new tungsten bits for it. It runs smoother than the pink neiko but overall it’s the same tool. You can interchange parts and I like that. Shouldn’t ever be proprietary. The 4 comes from the collet issue and I did try to use a pick to open it up, but it’s really tough stuff which is great so when I get a chance, I will try to open it up with a small punch or a lineup tool or something like that and see if I can open it slightly. I would strongly suggest that a P take a 18 bit and try to install it before they send it out. It could use proprietary bits, but I didn’t want that so I used the other collet so I could use 1/8” bits all the way around.

Good value
Nice little grinder. Twist valve holds steady speed at any setting so far so very happy. Not super torque but good enough to grind on silicon bronze with burrs.

Buy it
If you need to grind out a broken tap or easy-out, especially in a tight space, this is the tool. With a carbide burr, it's a good balance between aggressiveness and control, and is also good for a variety of deburring tasks and enlarging holes or slots in sheet metal. The one thing is you don't have a lot of control over the RPM, so be careful using any ceramic wheels or cutting discs, I'd stick to carbide burrs or polishing wheels. I wouldn't say that's much of a drawback though so am still giving it 5 stars.
