Good quality construction. Nice product overall.
I ordered this but found it to be too big for my 17’ boat. It was of very clean construction though, and the galvanization was top quality (unlike another one I purchased on Amazon). For a larger boat (20’ and above?) this is a good choice.

Decent beach anchor
I recently had the opportunity to use the anchor pole on a weekend trip, and I was quite impressed with its performance. The galvanized steel construction is robust, giving me confidence that it can withstand the elements and the rigors of regular use.The self-hammering feature is a game-changer, making it easy to secure the anchor into the sand without needing additional tools. It’s particularly useful for small boats, jet skis, pontoons, and kayaks. The storage bag and bungee cord are thoughtful additions that make transportation and storage a breeze. However, I’m giving it 4 stars because, while the anchor is solid and easy to use, the heavy-duty nature might be overkill for lighter crafts. Additionally, the storage bag could be improved with reinforcement at the tip to prevent wear through from the anchor’s point after repeated use.

SOLID and well made
I bought this for my trailerable houseboat when anchoring near other boats such as the party cove. It works great and is quick and easy to set into the ground.

Excellent quality.
This hammers into even wet sand and doesn’t pull free. Secured the boat so it can be trusted to not loosen up and become unsecured. It’s an excellent product.

Holds my waverunner so far
I have used quite a few different anchors with my wave runner. I've had many that fail to hold it. This one has worked so far, but it is too long and heavy to carry in the front storage. I end up using this near where I camp but I have to drop off the anchor at my beach front camp site before I unload my boat - my truck stays at the boat ramp. The beach near my campsite is where I tether my wave runner the most so I set this up for the day. This wouldn't work as my only anchor - so far sand bag anchors have worked best for me since they don't bang around in the storage compartment. It's not light so it takes a little energy to pound this into the ground with its sliding handle. I am on sand so I don't know how well this will go into soil. I don't have full trust of it holding in all conditions yet. But in mild wind, it has held. I still have to use a second anchor to keep my waverunner getting blown onto the beach.I think this would be perfect for a light boat that has more storage.

Heavy & works well
I am not a boat or outdoorsy person, but my husband is, and I just got him an inflatable kayak, so I got this anchor for it. I am impressed with the weight - it's really heavy, heavy-duty metal and pretty easy to put into the ground or sands & stays put pretty well. I am a little confused about the whole bungee cord situation - it keeps the anchor at the shortest height but if you remove it, it extends taller but doesn't come apart. It'd be nice if instructions explained all of this. I also wish it came with some rope to attach it to a watercraft. Regardless, it works well for what it is and seems pretty well made - I recommend.

Land anchor at lake/dam/river for boat, pontoon, or camp equipment.
This 'Spike Boat Anchor' is no stranger to pontoon boat owners. To use, it's much like a slide hammer going into the sand/dirt as well as coming out of the sand/dirt. Don't have a boat? don't worry. It can also be used to secure/anchor your items at a campsite on a sandy beach or lake/river. I've seen many lost tents floating across the lake and down rivers on a windy day and caught a few too. This model comes with a storage bag. I added reflective tape to mine for easy-to-find in the dark while boat-in-camping.

Stout pole anchor with an integrated slide hammer
This anchor is basically a piece of heavy gauge angle iron cut into to a spear with a pointed end. The other end has a metal loop for tying or clipping a rope on and a solid pole that acts as a center guide for a slide hammer. There is a heavy handle that serves as the slide hammer and a bungie cord to keep the two sections together when you are not using the slide hammer. There is not much to go wrong here. I don't see it getting bent unless you left the slide hammer extended and tied off to the top of that for maximum boat leverage on the shaft. Short of that or using it to tie up a barge, rusting away in 40 years seems to be the most likely failure mode. That is to say, it's a heavy-duty, thick piece of iron. The welds are not gorgeous, but appear more than adequate strength wise. The whole thing appears to be coated (probably dipped) in a silver paint.

Works good
The rubber comes off right away but other than that it’s a good tool! Nice to have on the boat
