Iโd have loved this book as a kid
So much to look at and something new to discover each time you pick it up, will likely buy another from the collection! Will look though it together with my chatty 2 year old but would be great for up 6/7 year olds I think.

Nice BUT...
... language is American English, e.g. Fire Truck instead of Fire engine, to name one example. If this doesn't bother you then it's a nice enough book, and I'm sure will engage... but not to my liking.

What a gorgeous, thoughtfully made, and engaging book - totally worth the price.
Our toddler spends hours with the Ultimate Book series, and this Cities book is no exception. There's pop-up images, flaps that open to reveal what's inside a building (and amazing explanations on how things work or are made), pull tabs to move an elevator up and down or to show cars leaving a parking garage... it's really well-made with so much detail and gorgeous illustrations. I will say this - if your kid is like ours, they're gonna engage with ALL the moving parts. The book is robust, and they clearly use laser-cut cardboard to help give the parts longevity, but our child has definitely destroyed a couple of parts, just because they used them with so much enthusiasm. And we've come to understand that this comes with the territory when you buy an interactive book. If this is going to get you upset and angry about the build-quality - which is great - then I think you would do better with the thicker cardboard pages of a "baby-proof" book. We will gladly let our kiddo wear this one out, and even buy another copy in a year or so when our toddler has, hopefully, learned a little bit more about caring for stuff. And it'll be more than worth it. The look of wonder and the joy of discovery as our kid finds a new hidden panel to open, or the realization that he can rotate the seasons of the trees, is something I will value way beyond the price of this book. Pro-Tip! Before you show the books to your child, you MAY want to use a pair of tweezers or a butter knife to pry open the panels every-so slightly. The laser cut means they blend it beautifully, but it also means that sometimes it's a challenge for little fingers to open or to figure out HOW they open. We've mangled a couple panels trying to figure it out, and that doesn't bother us, but prying the edge up ever-so-slightly might save you a little grief.

We just love it
This book is one of the most original that I've ever seen. Interactive, interesting, even for adults. Great way to teach toddlers everything about how cities work, I mean EVERYTHING, many how to, recicling, how objects are called. So beautifully displayed. Would buy them all!
