This hand warmer is a must-buy for cold climates if you find an appropriately-sized battery pack!
A few years ago I discovered the Ororo brand of heated apparel, and I have a few garments from that brand, plus I bought their hand warmer when it went on sale for this past holiday season. The advantage of the Ororo products is that all of the main items (i.e. not the heated gloves or socks that use their own, smaller-sized batteries) use interchangeable battery packs, and their current packs are USB-C, making them even more versatile in terms of charging in particular but also interoperability with other devices. All that being said, I had my eye on *this* hand warmer being reviewed, and I bought it sort of as a backup when it went on sale, partially due to the price (which was something like half what the Ororo version went for.) I *also* was particularly intrigued that it has a standard USB-A connector and is powered by any compatible user-supplied battery pack. Despite the complaints of some of the other reviewers, it was quite clear that the battery was not included. I was fine with this as I have plenty of different power bank things and was more than happy to put them to use. I found that the most ideal one, in terms of size and capacity, was the "Mophie Powerstation 18-Watt PD 6700mAh Power Banks with USB-C PortModel: 401101509"; it's on Amazon under "ASIN: B07MW1G2DJ" but I got them from the "Meh/Sidedeal/Morningsave" family of sites at a much lower price. The battery pouch is kind of shallow, so the physical size of the battery bank is important, and to a lesser extend, the orientation and location of the USB-A port (as the hand warmer's cable is at a right angle, and some batteries have their port at an awkward location for this application) but other than that the hand warmer is great. It works just like the Ororo version, possibly heating up even faster, but there's definitely a difference in quality between the two products to justify the price differential. This one, which has "Axeanlake" branded on the front, by the way, appears to have thinner materials, which might explain why it appears to heat up faster if there really is less insulation between the layers. There are a couple of accessory pockets that are a nice touch. You might be able to fit a larger battery pack in the closer of the accessory pockets if you don't mind running the cable up and around the rear of the hand warmer and letting it stick out of that pocket, although you could also just leave the actual battery compartment open in that case.I put a portable multimeter between the battery and the hand warmer to see what it was doing; it appears to draw a constant current of about 1.6 A, but then it pulses it on and off at the lower settings (rather than drawing a lower current.) The cheap multimeter I used may not be particularly accurate, but the requirement of a 5 V, 2 A output seems justified. I had tested it earlier and I swear it drew closer to 1.8 A, but when I hooked up the multimeter again just now to take the product photos it only read 1.6 A; maybe it draws more after it's begun heating up?I didn't measure the heat output, but it definitely gets quite hot, to the point where after it warms up I always switch it down to a lower setting. I also didn't measure runtime, although knowing the actual draw (5 V @ 1.6-1.8 A, which is 8-9 W) you could pretty easily calculate it based on the battery's capacity, at least for the maximum setting. Overall this is definitely worth the buy if you're living in a climate where you're even considering an electric hand warmer, especially at the recent sale prices.

Heats fast, soft inside, easy to use, well made
The review by Atomizer is perfect......Atomizer says it perfectly. This hand warmer pouch is a buy. Heats fast, and super easy to use. Plus it has extra zippered pockets, and is well made.I use it for golf, and I wear gloves on both hands.... I wear medium-large womens gloves.

Works but not the best
This hand warm works but needs some improvement. The battery compartment is rather small and does not fit common battery cells. As a result i havent tested its electric heating ability. The zipper on the main pouch also broke on 2nd use and now cannot be closed. It does keep your hands warm but as i said needs some improvments. I used it on a crewserved weapons range in the middle january to keep my hands warm when not on a weapon. It was not roughly handled just lacks quality.

Works great - BYOB
I love this thing - you save a ton of money to use your own power bank. The two 10000ma banks I had fit well and it heats up nicely. Good bang for your buck if you have your own bank.

Perfect for outdoor photography.
I spend a lot of times outdoors in all weather. Taking pictures with gloves is impossible. This is a great way to keep your hands warm in between shots.
