Although this is leather, not plastic, it’s still a very good value for the money. It doesn’t slide around on my desk and it really elevates the feeling of my work surfaces. I can use my mouse on it without a mouse pad and it’s easy to clean. Working in a hospital, this is important! The backside is cork, which is really nice and it doesn’t slide around on the laminate desk. My keyboard doesn’t slide around on it either. Excellent dark green color. Thickness is good. It’s not super super thick, but it’s also not flimsy thin. Leather feels so much better, but it’s impossible to clean adequately. This is a great alternative

I bought a new keyboard and mouse. It didn't fit on the traditional desk mat that I have used for years. I saw this nice long mat and it is so nice to use. Makes my desk top look bigger. It even comes with a separate strap if you want to roll it up to store it or use it for travel.

I have been using this large leather cork back desk mat for several months now and have had nothing but a positive experience. It sits flat, does not move around, and provides a comfortable and stylish surface for my desk. In addition to its primary use as a desk mat, I have also found it to be an excellent mouse pad. I had that Rissla from Ikea, and its far superior but troubles were, the flap part was stupid, it was magnetic so couldn't wear my smart watch as my band is metal and it was far too deep, even for my massive desk. But it had a nice lip to keep it from moving and nice and solid. I got rid of as it was beat after 5 years or so.Biggest Con: This pad shipped rolled up, so the end that was in center of roll, I couldn't get it to stay flat. I put books on it a bunch and nothing. So I put two nice hard bound flat books on each corner and a 20lb dumbbell on each, and a week later they still puff up. I can still see the crease from where it was bent for roll up.Only pro is that its exactly the size I wanted. The whole 1 side being poofy isn't as bad for me, cause I'm in an L shape, so putting the more flat side in area I work. In long run if I don't like it here, and go back to Rissla, this pad can be used on other part of L shape, and I'd lay computer on poofy part.

I was looking through so many larger desk mats that I didn't even realize the one I ended up purchasing was a leather material until it arrived. Quite a surprise given that it was also the least expensive of the 48" mats I found. I know it says it in the description but I just didn't realize it was the one I'd actually bought lol. It's nice quality, looks great on my desk, and will be easier to keep clean that a standard "mouse pad" material. I could have gotten away with one size down I think, but I'm happy with this one. I may purchase another. And I know I need to do something about the cable management...

Great looking, durable work surface!

I love this desk mat! I have a fairly large computer desk i built using an IKEA tabletop and I wanted a vegan-friendly desk mat that covered the majority of it. I bought this mat due to the positive reviews and have to say I am not disappointed. I likely will be purchasing another for my second (work) desk.What I like:+ multiple size options, and a large enough size to cover my needs.+ variety of colors to fit my desk's style+ Waterproof, I accidently spilled water on my desk shortly after getting this mat. I panicked, only to find that the mat really is waterproof (i am always dubious of such claims).+ non-slip, the mat hasn't moved and grips my wooden desk fairly well. No complaints!+ self healing, if i put something particularly heavy and thin on the desk mat, it might leave an imprint but eventually it fades. As an example I have a magfit phone stand that swivels open and props the phone up with a thin bar. this will leave a mark on the desk (because my phone is so heavy) but once removed, the desk mat eventually "heals" itself.Considerations:-/+ I find the writing directly on the desk mat produces a grainy texture in your writing if you're using a large ball point instead of a fine tip. I don't really write on my desk often, and when I do I usually have a steno pad , but this was a little disappointing since the product advertising a smooth surface for writing. I tried to get a picture of this to demonstrate the difference between writing on a piece of paper directly on the mat compared to using something else, however, the difference was too subtle to pick up in my photo. And again, not an issue for fine tip writing. As such, I can't really consider this a full negative (hence -/+), but it did feel worth mentioning.

Description is accurate. Nice looking and stays in place. The large mat works well if you have two monitors and looking for coverage along your desktop. Works well for writing on paper. Just received so we will see how it lasts.

The size and product are completely different from what mentioned in description. Also its not leather. Some other rubber product is given

I bought it in different colours, too. If overwhelmed by the multiple options out there, this brand is a great product.

The product appears considerably smaller than described. It seems as though it was cut from its original size, evident from the uneven lines that aren't perfectly straight.
