Denso Oxygen Sensor - 234-2000

I needed two new sensors for my Corolla. The repair shop quoted $160 each, plus installation. That sounded a bit high, so I went online and did my homework. Found this sensor and a similar one to meet the mfg's requirements. However, these generic sensors come without the plug, but that's the part that doesn't wear out. You can use the plug of the old one. So with a little soldering and applying some electrician's tape, I saved myself over $200 on the parts and installed them myself too (was easy on my car). Since then, the check-engine-light is off again and the car runs smoothly and without problems.

Perfect fit for our 1989 Mazda B2600i. This is the two wire type of sensor (ground and live), better quality than what you'd get at a local store like Autozone. And a much better price!! Overall very happy and if we need it again, we'd buy another one (but hoping we don't....)

Now I got a slow response that comes and goes after replacement?.?....been a week or so and no luck.....gonna have to get a/c Delco............. so this item will not be sufficient for my 2001 Cavalier....wanted money here

My 1997 Toyota Corolla was showing P0133 OBD2 code, and the engine power was low. I myself replaced the Oxygen sensor (fortunately it is easy to do with this Toyota!) and now it has been working fine since then.

The oxygen sensor was easy to install and works as an oxygen sensor is supposed to work but in my case was not the problem that caused the check engine light. I was told by a technician using a code reader that the oxygen sensor was the culprit and needed to be replaced. (This fellow sold oxygen sensors of course). Before buying an oxygen sensor, make sure the oxygen is the problem and not merely a symptom of the problem.

The product is designed for universal single-wire systems, but it actually has 2 wires! The second wire is a ground! That's probably an acceptable design, but they should tell you in the description it's made that way, unlike other universal units. Otherwise, you'll send it back as the wrong part, like I did, losing time (but no money- Amazon paid return shipping). I ended up getting an aftermarket unit rather than the Denso that I would have preferred to run. Not cool, guys, not cool. I hate giving bad feedback, but folks should be warned.
