I actually bought this to stop a throw I have over my sofa from slipping off the back of the sofa. It is working well.

For a long time I've been trying to stop my bathroom mats from slipping around on our tiled floor. I've tried different stickers to no avail. This gripper sheet, however, has made a reasonable difference.Unlike the tiny small stickers, this comes as a entire single grippy textured sheet. This instantly means you can a far greater surface area coverage as you can freely cut to a desired size and place under a rug. Moreover, this comes with no adhesive side but rather in a more clever way relying on the texture itself to stay clinging to the ground.I tried this on carpet and tiled floor and in both ways achieved less slip! The rug on my carpeted floor has finally stopped moving out of position every time it's stood on. On the other hand, it doesn't make it impossible as pulling from the sides does appear to dislodge it. On my bathroom tiles, the grippy sheet has made a fair difference, still better than any sticker could do. The rug has stopped being a slippery mess (yes, broken by design) by offering a lot more texture to rub against on the tile floor. While the rug has stopped slipping, the problem I now face is with the sheet eventually scrunching up under the rug. Once this happens enough, the rug appears to lose its grip and begins to slowly but surely slide from it's original position.In all, this gripper sheet is mostly a hit and a slight miss when it comes to keep rugs from sliding around.

It does the job fairly well and the rug stays in place better than before. Easy to cut, lay, and move if required. However, the material feels a bit cheap, and I’m not sure how well it will hold up under heavy foot traffic in my living room.For lighter use areas, it’s a decent solution, but I have some doubts about its long-term durability. If you need something heavy-duty, you might want to look for a more robust option.

This seems to work fine if you are putting your weight on the areas that the gripper covers. If the gripper only covers part of the rug area, the rug will still slip when you walk on the areas it doesn't cover.Not sure if this is a fair criticism but the pack we got was a 30cm wide strip (as clearly advertised) which suggests you only have to put it under part of the rug to stop it sliding. That wasn't our experience. It looked like it would work ok if you bought enough to cover all the area under the rug, but that ups the price quite a bit.
