Too Late...I Love You

Funny as hell - absoutely wonderful fun read. - full stars
This has turned into one of my favourite books so far. This book had my laughing my head off and I just could not put it down. It was one of those books that I was up until all hours of the morning, holding my mouth, trying not to wake everyone with laughter. Kiki absolutely tears her characters to shreds its so funny. The romance between these two is so sweet and will warm any heart out there. The kids are just brilliant also. The sex scenes are wonderful as you would expect. The ending was weird but I liked it, though it took a while to get my head around. It was just an unexpected kind of twist at the end.Favourite part? Oh my god I don't think I could pick one there are so many. Racing around Italy after some old "Irish?" narky homophobic bat in peddle cards. The Anne Summers store had me reading behind my fingers and the part with the tunnel had my gasping and dying for these two to get together.I will certainly bee keeping this one in my collection and will look forward to reading it again. This is an absolute keeper and will be keeping a close eye on this writer in the future. Oh my god so funny.Fully recommended.

Clear your schedule...
If you haven't read a book by Kiki Archer before this is my best advice to you. Last year I discovered this hilariously witty and relatable author and have spent many night nights reading until the dawn chorus or stuck with my nose in my reading apps while I should be concentrating at work. This book certainly doesn't disappoint. I started the book feeling a strange affinity with our main girl Connie despite the fact that I'm not a straight mom of a toddler. It's a real skill to draw me in so easily. I have no idea how Kiki does it.The two main characters have an amazing chemistry that leaps off the pages with page after page of dialog filled with banter, sharp wit and innuendo. If that doesn't get you frantically turning through the pages I don't know what will. The comedy in this is brilliant, I stayed up all night reading and found myself chuckling away out loud (legitimate LOLing) and at one point cackling with laughter around 4am when I got to the changing room scene.Kiki's books are works of wonderful lesbian chick-lit that really feed the hopeless romantic in me. I've been guilty of many rereads and I'm sure 'Too late... I love you' will be no enjoyed many more times by me.

Ok
Nice romance and good description as ever from this author. As a reader I was drawn in to their connection but then as the story unfolded and (SPOILER Alert) they finally had sex, that night of sex was not written about in the narrative? I hated turning the page to find out that it was the next morning! Also Connie was annoying and so full of persistent insecurites and self pity, if I was Maria I would have lost patience a long time ago. I also found the descriptions of the other mums in the playgroup a bit mean and judgey. Overall I'd give it the thumbs up because of the representation of LGBTQ mums, being an LGBTQ mum myself I liked the fact that I felt relatable to some of the content.

Fabulously funny!
I've just finished this new book from Kiki Archer and I have been laughing out loud throughout the day. I never laugh out loud normally but really, she is so hilarious that no-one could possibly not burst out laughing whilst reading this, her latest London based novel. It's about two stay-at-home mothers, the beautiful and rich Maria and the self-deprecating, ordinary Connie and their three year olds who meet at a play-group and become immediate friends. Add Ryan, Connie's gaybo best friend to the mix along with Karl and his poisonous mother, Evelyn, not forgetting Earth Mother,Crusty and Titty and you have a cast of well described characters who will keep you turning the pages. It's not all hilarity though: she also has important things to say about love and friendships and relationships. Cleverly, we also get to read Connie's novel as she writes about her alter-ego, Bonnie, therebye allowing glimpses of her true feelings.Anyway, all in all, worth every one of five stars. Please read this and her other works. Fabulous and funny.

Well written girl meets girl
I read this after reading Kiki's One Foot Onto The Ice, so I knew she has a spot on sense of humour, and this radiated from this novel too. What a great read... a bit more of a girl meets girl romance type story. Though there was some sexy time in the book, it wasn't as heavy as some other reads. Just enough to keep you hooked.I must say though, while reading the book, even I wanted to meet this beautiful Maria character!Connie and Maria each have a young child... and even the children bring extra humour to the story!Connie's BFF is a gay chap who effortlessly adds much of the jokes, you will appreciate this all through the book. The only thing I'll say is near the end just felt a bit too unrealistic. Not to say that would never happen and it definitely didn't take from any of the love I felt for this book... but it was just a bit far fetched.

Too Late Kiki Archer...We Love You
There are two British lesfic writers who are almost guaranteed to make me laugh out loud one minute and pull on the heart strings the next. LT Smith is one and Kiki Archer is the other. I’m pleased to say that this is up to Kiki Archer’s usual high standards in both departments. The scene when Ryan and Connie go shopping in Ann Summers had me literally crying with laughter - I am so glad I wasn’t reading it in a public place! My only very slight grumble would be that Maria’s reasoning for pulling away from Connie didn’t really add up for me, but overall this was, as usual, a hugely enjoyable read.

A whitty good read
The first book I've read by this author and was happy to discover a whitty lol story, that was engaging and really enjoyable, a good twist that I sort of had an idea of. The only downside I personally felt was that the ending felt a little abrupt would have personally liked an extra chapter or two which is why I gave 1 less star but overall a good read and I think I'll be reading more of her books.
