I was really impressed with the features of this, and the items it comes with. It's pretty much everything you'd need, aside from the lack of a wire cutter, but you can find a Hakko here for $5, so not a big deal. The iron heats up very quickly, and there's nice features like a big temperature display, selectable cool down time out, power on temperature, C/F setting. No complaints at all, especially at the incredible price.

To be honest, when I first opened the package, I was shocked at how light the base unit was. It felt like a toy. However, my opinion immediately changed when I started using the soldering station.In the past, I have had soldering stations that took awhile to hear up and had cold tips (the side of the tip would melt solder, but the point would not). This soldering station has zero of those issues. The iron heats up very quickly, and with a variety of tips, it will suit most applications.The actual soldering iron is relatively light, and again toyish, but it is ergonomic and allows for precision placement. The stand for the iron in my opinion is excellent. It perfectly marries with the iron and has a nice and convenient area to clean the tip of the iron.The additional accessories it comes with is appreciated. It comes with a very generous amount of solder (an entire reel) as well as a desoldering vacuum pump and tweezers. Ideally it would have come with some desoldering braid, but at this price I am not going to complain.So, should you buy it? If you are looking for an economical soldering station, absolutely. You won't be disappointed.Bonus: It's GREEN which is my favorite color!

It says that it comes with paste but mine did not don't know if everyone had that problem but overall it's a great product and I'd recommendit to others

Ordered this soldering station mainly to teach electronics to my kids but also for general household maintenance. The great thing about this one is that it comes with extras and has everything you need to get you started. For instance, there are different kinds of soldering tips included ranging from very small and sharp for fine work up to really wide ones. There are parts for cleaning the soldering tip (a pad and a steel wool), a spool of thin solder wore with a rosin core. Even tweezers and a desoldering pump are included! Assembly is very straightforward and intuitive - just plug the power cord into the controller, attach the desired tip to the iron, and plug it into the controller as well. It is that simple. Granted, I’ve had a lot of experience with soldering stations at work, but I think it should be very easy for a novice as well. There are also instructions which are well written and helpful in case you are not familiar with this kind of equipment. Operating the controller is very intuitive as well. There are just two buttons to set the temperature up or down, and the middle button for additional settings like temp offset, password protection, temp units change, and set temperature. I really like that you can program the set temperature to whatever value you need and then it will remember it even if you power the station down. The temperature range is more than wide enough for electric soldering. Both the programmed and the current temperatures are displayed on the controller and are very easy to read. Operation of the station I believe is on par with name brand stations I’ve used at work. It takes literally just seconds for it to reach your set temperature. So far I’ve used 625F with the included tin-lead solder. I like that the wore is small diameter so I can quickly melt it with smaller tips and do fine work. All the included extras are useful and good. The first time I used the station, I ended up using everything except for the desoldering pump. The tweezers were especially helpful dealing with some small wires. Overall, I’m very happy that I ordered this station. It is a very good value for what you get in one package and everything works just great.
