Really good idea and would save a lot of time
I was very much looking forward to getting this on my angle grinder as it would, in theory, make swapping discs a lot faster and tool free.There is nothing really wrong with them, you get two in a pack, they seem well made and robust and I think good value for money.Probably the only reason why I would not use on jobs that require a long usage of the angle grinder would be the slight, and I mean slight, additional vibration that these introduce. You may not notice this and probably not relavent for short jobs.When you look at these the ring that you lift to secure weighs less that the metal on the opposite so I would imagine this is where the source of the vibration.I think this is a shame as I feel this is a great solution.I have taken a picture of this locking nut against the one supplied with my angle grinder. No issues with the fitment.

Quick, Convenient and Good Value
These disc locking rings arrived in a simple plastic bag. There are two in the package.What a great idea! They make changing discs quick and simple. You probably can’t get as much torque onto them as you can with a locking ring and spanner and therefore can’t tighten the disc quite as much but for most uses this isn’t really an issue.They also have two holes whose size and distance apart correspond to the ones in the original locking ring so if they get over tightened you can use the original spanner to loosen them.I’m not sure how these would hold up on site for professional use but for a DIYer like me they make changing discs so much easier. A real boon if you’re doing a job that requires using several different discs.These locking rings are convenient, work well and at only £5.89 for two they’re excellent value so they get 5 stars.
