Despite the fact that there was some unnecessary family drama it was a fun movie where only the people that deserved it get devoured by the alien spider.. every watched it several times it's very good

The characters are relatable, and you can't help but root for their survival. The pacing is good, with enough action and suspense to maintain interest. There are some genuinely heart-pounding moments that left me gripping my seat.My only critique is that the plot could have been a bit more original. Some elements felt predictable, and it followed a few too many of the typical horror movie clichés. A more unique twist or deeper character development would have elevated the movie to the next level.Despite these minor drawbacks, "Sting" is a fun and entertaining watch, perfect for a night in with friends or a good scare. If you enjoy creature features with plenty of spider scares, this movie is definitely worth checking out!

Even though I'm terrified of spiders I loved this movie would recommend it

Maybe I expected horror.... but this was a bit of a mixed bag.Very long time waiting for something to happen.1hr later it looks like things will & they slowly dont.This was more of a SciFi channel movie.Lot of comedy, cheesy acting on purpose & weird pacing.Almost got tales from the crypt vibe from it

Watched this as a movie for family movie night and freaked us out!!!

This is a capable and well made creature feature that looks great, but is sadly rather by the book in story. There were opportunities to do something more interesting that could have made this story stand out, but they instead took it in the same exact direction of every other movie like this. I'll give his 4 stars because it's good at what it does, it just fails to utilize everything it built.SPOILERS BELOW:...There were several interesting things developed earlier in the film that they failed to capitalize on that could have made this movie really stand out. 1) The "spider" is from space, and other than this being the reason why it's able to have abilities that earthly spiders do not, they fail to use this. I felt SO sure the final reveal was that what happened in this building had been happening all over the city unbeknownst to anyone due to the freak ice storm keeping everyone trapped in their buildings for the most part. The final scene should have been of giant spiders emeging from many buildings. 2) The spider is shown to be fairly intelligent, able to figure out how to unscrew it's jar lid and then return again, and seeming to try to communicate in some basic way with it's human caretaker. Once grown the spider never seemed to do anything clever, like set traps. It's a spider able to make webs, that's nature's natural trap setting! 3) The spider is a mimick. Why develope this interesting angle only to not use it? We never hear the spider imitate the cat meowing, or dog barking, or a baby crying to lure people in. What a missed opportunity. 4) There's the suggestion that the spider may feel some sort of bond with the human girl who took care of it (for example, when not attacking her when it clearly has the opportunity,) yet they don't do anything with this either. This movie may have had a more interesting script at some point, or the intention to do something more interesting, but ultimately decided to deliver a simple giant spider movie. I probably would have been ok with that if the first half didn't promise the possibility of something more.

A fun horror movie with practical effects, gore, great characters, the director/producer has phobia of spiders....My friends and I loved the movie, and also bonus: making of ....ect

Why do I like watching spider movies when I am afraid of them is not the smartest thing, know your enemy! That being said it’s a pretty good Spider movie of a spider that keeps getting bigger and is looking for food, as spiders do, but one that is intelligent. I liked it, it had a few jumps, and the story moved along at a good pace.

Very very far fetched
