Way more accurate than you would think!
Because we feel safe shopping on Amazon, I'm not afraid to try brands I've never heard of, or items that look like Chinese knock-offs (same product listed under various names while looking identical to each other). While I did not buy this to walk around and measure the area of something, although I will test that part out soon, what I did buy it for was to assist me with fencing in my property. So how would you use this for that? Via Google Earth, I plotted out my land using the GPS coordinates of all 4 corners. Then I drew straight lines to each point. While they are far from each other, I got those landscape flags and will place them at various points along the line a drew. Before I do that I had to test this first. Via Google Earth I placed a marker at the corner of my driveway. I screen shot those coordinantes and sent them to my phone. Then with that image on my screen I went outside with this device and placed it right over that same spot. To my surprise, Google Earth and this device gave me the same coordinates for that spot on the corner of my driveway. With that, I feel comfortable with using this to plot my fence line.

land survey machine works
Little difficult to understand at first, but if you pay attention, it works great.

Total Garbage
Cheap plastic, bad interface, funky buttons, and worst of all, software that isn't driver signed so will not work without compromising your computer's security.

Not for what we thought
We were trying to pinpoint locations on a job for blueprints. This didn't work the way we thought it would.
