I was recently gifted large diamond stud earings with screw backs but since my holes are lower on my lobe and because of the weight of the stones the earrings drooped. The screw backs are small compared to the setting and stones. The jeweler couldn't find other options since they were 18guage posts but to change the posts to friction backs. I decided to look for a quicker alternative and found these. They did not disappoint. They're comfortable, sturdy and hold the earrings upright in the proper positions perfectly! Plus they fit my 18gauge posts where other monster backs wouldn't. I actually ordered two other alternatives to try too and neither worked. I'm beyond satisfied!!

I love these. Large enough to hold in your fingers when putting earrings on and shaped like regular large disc backs so they also hold studs up on ears. Also you never have to worry about those thin stems that no backing stays on. These take care of that problem as well and comfort is unbelievable. These work no matter how thick or thin your lobes are and earrings including studs stand up straight no matter shape of ear. Only suggestion, offer a size with larger disc, holding area when putting on stem of earring.

These earring backs are the greatest!! First they're made of softer plastic than the old style.Secondly, they're molded in one piece so there's no metal to separate from the plastic, which causes earring loss. Third, they're smaller and invisible from the back. I have long nails, but for some reason these backs are easier to use.Lastly, the plastic fits snugly around the post. The softer plastic is much more comfortable.I now use these on every pair of my earrings, both stud and wires.

I tried several of the backers before I found one that would hold onto the post. Had to throw a lot of the backers out because the hole was too large to fit any of my stud earrings. Worse yet, after using them for awhile, the hole must stretch on the backer because eventually, the backer fell off. Fortunately, I felt the backer hit my neck so I did not lose the earring. So I went back to the bag to find another backer snug enough to hold onto the post. After a few days of use, that replacement backer fell off. These backers are not uniformly sized. My fear of losing an earring due to the backer falling off is too great to continue to using the backers. UPDATE 05.15.2021: Where I did find some of the backs to be too loose, as I'm working my way through the bag, there are some that fit snugly. In fact, some fit so snugly that I have to twist the earring as I tug the backer off. Given how many backers are in the bag, I have upped my overall rating as I've found plenty that fit well on my earrings.

These were just what I needed. Worked great and so comfortable. Easy to grasp and put on the post. A great alternative to expensive lost butterfly clasps! They stay put too. I'm very satisfied with them. They are great for sensitive ears.

Overall I like them OK, but it's hard to get too excited about anything I have to put so much effort into before they can be used. The reason is that the holes are way too small for any of my earrings. The first pair I tried them with were pearl studs, and the fit was so tight I ended up breaking the earring when I tried to get it off. After that I tried them on all my earrings before putting them in my ears, and I could tell the fit was so tight I'd have the same problem. I'm now in the process of enlarging the holes in several of them, which is slow, tedious, painful work on arthritic hands. Once they fit the earrings, they're very comfortable and secure; I just feel I should have been able to use them right out of the bag. I split the bag of 100 with my mother (actually there were only 99 in the bag, but NBD), and she's having exactly the same problem. So buy them at your peril.

These backs are so much easier for me to hold on to. I can actually sty where the post is to go. They have already helped lift a pair of earrings I haven’t been able to wear. The earrings and a tad bit top heaven, these backs helped keep the earring up and was able to wear it all day. Thanks again for an amazing product.

Will buy and keep in my jewelry box. I sell jewelry and now give these backs as an addition to the regular back that comes with the earrings. They keep the studs more secure can hold all weights of earrings, even large hoops. I've worn same disc 20+ times with no tearing of product.
