A Great Holster at a Great Price
This is the 5th or 6th time I've purchased one of these holsters. They are so flexible. I've always ordered the holster that includes the paddle mount as well as the belt loops. I haven't found the paddle mount to be comfortable enough, but I may want that option at some time. Being able to quickly slide the "paddle" behind the waistband and belt and as easily removing it is definitely a great feature. The belt loop mount is also pretty fast to slide on the belt and doesn't put the hard plastic right against your "hip bone". Both mounts allow some flexibility in the how high the holster rides and the opportunity to significantly adjust the cant of the holster. Reversing the cant also allows the holster to be carried in a cross draw position. The retention feature means someone can't draw my pistol without me having something to say about that. The retention release lever is directly in line with the trigger finger, so as the release lever is depressed and the gun lifted the trigger finger naturally falls on the frame just above the trigger guard. There is a cut out on the leading edge of the holster which allows a slightly quicker draw if necessary. This holster and mount is made of very sturdy plastic material and is well designed and well made. It holds the gun close to the waist for concealment. I've purchased several Blackhawk products and found them to be reliable and durable. I will buy another of these holsters when I need one. Update: I've purchased another of these holsters for a new gun, a Springfield Armory Xdm 3.8 Compact in 9mm. First let me say that initially Amazon sent me the wrong sized holster. I immediately made arrangements to return the holster and ordered another in the correct size. The exchange couldn't have been easier. Amazon paid for the return and promptly credited my account for what I paid. As a Prime member the correct holster arrived two days later. When shopping for this holster I found Blackhawk does not list a holster for my gun, so I called Blackhawk and asked if they had a holster that fit the Xdm 3.8 Compact. I was told to order the size 07 and that it would be a little long but is the correct fit for my gun. I found that to be true. I wasn't too happy with the length of the holster, so using my band saw I cut 7/16" off and dressed the cut edges with fine sand paper. I rinsed the dust and sand from the entire holster and dried it before using it. The fit is perfect and I couldn't be happier.

You need one... or three!
This is, hands down and without a doubt, the best series of holsters on the market today. Believe me, I have wasted all of my money so that you don't have to! I have tried numerous different holsters, from different brands, different schools of thought, and different materials. I always go back to my Blackhawk! I have used these holsters, both on duty and off, in the level 2 and 3 retention systems, and both the paddle and belt loop configurations. I currently own several; for Glock 22 and Glock 27. As a firearms instructor, I have seen a lot of holsters used by many different people for many different purposes. These are the most intuitive, fastest drawing, and robust holsters out there. The retention system re-engages quickly and effortlessly, and on the level 3 it protects you from being locked out of the holster. The holster comes with everything you need, including both a paddle and belt loop attachment, the screws, belt hooks, and belt width spacers. The screws even come with a drop of thread locker on them! It arrives well-packaged and with detailed instructions. The holster allows you to cant the gun forward or rearward based upon preference. BTW, a slight forward cant aids with minimizing printing when carrying concealed, and is also quick-drawing. ;) Side note: when wearing this holster with the paddle attached, please don't put the paddle between your belt and your pants. It's supposed to go inside your pants. You look like a goof ball with the paddle sticking out... Too many people do this. I digress... :-) This is bar none the best CCW, on duty (consult dept. policy, of course), off duty, EDC, IDPA, USPSA holster going. You need one!

Comfortable and secure wear
I've owned a multitude of holsters over the years and Blackhawk! SERPA are always well made and comfortable holsters. The finger press retention release are easy to use and provide a nice level of security for those not engaged in combat or duty related undertakings that need a sturdier holster anyway. I've also read reviews of people that said they felt the release was poorly positioned and could cause an accidental misfire. I think the opinions are a valid concern, but I submit that almost any untrained person drawing a firearm in a defensive situation will have potential misfires at any rate, simply because they weren't trained or practiced for this kind of ordeal. In short, I continue to recommend these holsters for the folks needing a well made, rigid, and inexpensive holster instead of the flimsy and cheap ones that are everywhere nowadays.

Serpa holders, secure and effective
I have been a law enforcement officer for over 20 years and have purchased numerous holsters in my career. I already utilized a Blackhawk Serpa for my Sig Sauer 9mm and when I obtained a new Glock 17, I immediately decided that the Blackhawk Serpa would be my holster of choice. Why? Blackhawk has raised the bar by creating a high quality, easy to use Level 2 retention holster. It securely locks your weapon in the holster every time. The trigger guard lock is very secure and can be easily disengaged when drawing the weapon. The quality of the holster is reflected in the proprietary blend of polymers and carbon fibers. The Serpa CQC is a concealed carry holster. Why would you need a level 2 holster for concealed carry? My question is why wouldn't you? Do you want to ever risk the consequences of having a fight over the possession of the weapon and lose? I submit that purchasing a level 2 concealment holster that is secure but fast to withdraw and unlock is a no brainer. I fully recommend Blackhawk Serpa holsters.

Blackhawk serpa cqc for glock 17
I debated back and forth over the blackhawk serpa vs the fobus holster. I ended up going with the serpa because of the design. I am satisfied with the form and function of the holster although concealing it can be difficult at times. That being said I am carrying a glock 17 which is not exactly a small frame pistol. The paddle is the primary form I use vs the belt attachment. No complaints sliding the holster into place. It is a nice snug fit, and it doesn't seem to move once in place. I have no problems with the index finger release. Some say it is a safety hazard. I feel when used properly it sets your trigger finger up for appropriate indexing. I understand a quick draw for self defense but don't get ahead of yourself by lodging a bullet in your own limb. Use common sense and all is well. My reason for a 4/5 star rating is the slight movement I've noticed when the gun is holstered. The movement is front to back. Not a big deal but noticeable at times. I would recommend this holster for those who want more than a friction fit and would like the option of belt loop attachment as well as an included paddle attachment.

Good off duty holster
While I prefer the retention of my duty holster (a Safariland level 3 holster), this one is nice as an off duty/concealment holster. When you reholster your firearm there's a nice audible click to be heard and you can feel it clicking as you grip the gun. There's no way to get the gun out without pressing the button, and if you're pulling the gun up you can't press the button to release the gun, nice if you're struggling with someone who's trying to take your gun. The belt loop is nice because it holds the firearm close to your body, and makes it easily concealed with a T shirt or a jacket, I haven't tried the paddle attachment yet. Drawing the firearm is effortless, though it may take a while if you're used to a thumb break (like my duty holster), but it's nice because it puts your index finger along the slide which is where it should be at all times until you're on target. Overall a good quality holster, my preferred method of carry daily, unless I'm going somewhere that I need deep concealment.

Great Holster
I purchased this holster for my Glock 17 Gen4. The gun fits securely in the holster and the locking mechanism works smoothly and efficiently. The holster is capable of belt loop or paddle attachment and to date I have only used belt loop. The belt attachment is adjustable so you can set elevations from your belt (high, middle or low to the belt center-line). I will say that the belt loop attachment mechanism is pretty difficult to lock into place. The carbon fiber material does not bend that easily so I would ensure that you have the right elevation (high/middle/low) position confirmed before you latch the position. However, once you latch this you should never have to change again one-time pain to manipulate. Otherwise functional, good quality, looks good and a good price.

Blackhawk Serpa Holster. Glock 17 Review.
I purchased this holster used. It was virtually brand new. I saw it for $25 used and decided to take a gamble. Wow! Impressive! It fits my glock 17 as it should. The holster never came with the factory packaging but thats ok. It came with the belt attachment mount. However it was missing the belt adjustment retention slider where you feed the belt through. I guess thats why it was being sold as used. The pancake is nice. It slides right onto your belt or waist band. It is meant to be worn on the side of your waist. Its perfect for my local gun range. I have no issues whatsoever drawing and keeping my finger away from the trigger. I have read several reviews saying that this poses a safety hazard and your finger goes near the trigger. Let me be perfectly clear. Practice your draw. Keep ypur finger straight as you draw and it never goes near the trigger.

Top Glock 17 passt perfekt
Also hab noch 2 andere holster getestet. Hält perfekt in holster. Schnelles ziehen ohne Haken. Verstellbar. Alles Top. Stört nicht bei der Autofahrt.

Highly recommended
Very nice quality. I love the release button on the side. Fits my Glock 17 nice and snug, does not scratch or anything like that.

Robustes preiswertes Holster
