If he is happy, which he is, so am I!
I bought for my 14 year old Grandson. I may be a little biased, but he is gifted in his art!

Not for every purpose but for a $6.00 Sketch Book not bad
It is a handy light paper that works well with gel tips and pencils and water color or other marker if it light strokes like writing a bold marker written reminder. Most of my other paper is specific, journals, sketch books, watercolour paper and so on. I also keep a limited supply of board stock around, I never know when I will get creative.I keep this around with my Mead Black and White notebook and it is a nice companion, and may find a place in my daily life.Value wise it is a good bargain I am not sure how good it would be for younger artists, though depending on the medium most 10 year olds would make good use of this.I had no idea what a $6.00 sketch book would be like, this one is not bad.

Better than expected!
This sketch pad was only $4.07, I wasn't expecting much....bought for a child so I figured she wouldn't be too fussy with regard to the quality of the paper, but we were both pleasantly surprised! Lightweight but good quality, bright white, and the metal spirals are pretty sturdy (pet peeve: when you go to rip out a couple sheets of paper and the bottom edge of your spiral unravels!) We will definitely be buying more of these.

Yeah, I really like it!
This was an impulse buy for me. I love to draw and when I see drawing items they always catch my eye. It's hard finding good drawing paper, but this one stands up. The paper has a nice weight to it making it a great choice for sketching. Instead of having a drab boring cover the cover is a pretty blue color. Nice for carrying with you and makes it more inspiring to draw. I enjoy using this sketch diary and would buy it again.

Definitely for pencil
Pens and markers bleed through and smear easily, but it's meant to be a pencil sketch book. Nice quality paper and construction for what it is, though.
