The Field: Cultivating Salvation (1) (Collected Works of Saint Ignatius (Brianchaninov))

I just finished this. I’m setting it aside on a special shelf for the best of the best spiritual books. Hopefully I can reread it and leave it for posterity. I’m Eastern Orthodox but I recommend this book to everyone.

The Field by Saint Ignatius Brianchaninov is a pearl. Please if you an Orthodox Christian buy this book. It will bring you peace and humility of mind.

I recommend this book to everyone who’s trying to learn more about spiritual life. It has really good information that serves as a good guide for good strength.

This book is absolutely perfect, if your soul is ready to be worked on and you have the right attitude, you will capture wisdom each and every time you go over the words.....You can tell how the guidance has been marinated by the Holy Spirit for 2,000 years, it is intertwined within the pages..

A must read. Knowledge passed down from 2000 years that most churches don't teach . You will glad you not have this knowledge in your hands.

A hidden treasure!These sacred writings are unheard of for those of us who have been raised in various protestant denominations.Thank God the ancient Church of the bible still exists today.

True treasure. True spiritual terrain. I never knew about Ignatius Brainchaninov until recently. He is truly a mystic and quotes patristic teaching to make the land ploughed to sow seeds of Christian values. Worth every penny.

Ce livre m'a chamboulé positivement. L'auteur ne nous caresse pas dans le sens du poil. Il est direct, mais ses enseignements et sa manière de nous les donner touchent le cœur. Il veut nous apprendre la voie pour vivre selon le plan de Dieu.Je suis laïc mais 80% du livre sinon plus, me parle.Je suis Catholique. Il y a bien sûr plusieurs références à la foi Orthodoxe de l'auteur, mais cela ne dérange pas je pense et n'enlève rien à sa compréhension des écritures, qui est nourri majoritairement par les Pères de l'Eglise que Orthodoxes et Catholiques ont en commun.

This is a great book to have and I am so thankful to have this in my collection. It is both enlightening and chastising.

Full of lasting wisdom
