I would also like to say that I could not be more impressed ...
First of all, my order, through Amazon, arrived overnight as I paid for, without a hitch! Even though I ordered it through Amazon it was mailed to me directly from minus33.I would also like to say that I could not be more impressed with the customer service of this company! I called them prior to placing my order to ask questions that would ensure that I was ordering the right product and the right size. They gave me excellent advice and I got exactly what I needed in the mail.their customer service representatives, of which I spoke to two, are very knowledgeable, very helpful, and very pleasant! My experience with their product is no less than stellar! The scenario for my first couple of uses was working outside in southern Wisconsin in whether that ranged from -7 to about positive 8°F for two Full workdays. I had forgotten that I was supposed to wear this expedition wait base layer of which I have both the top quarter zip and the bottoms, underneath and next to the skin. I had been wearing a cheap pair of fruit of the loom thermal tops and bottoms underneath of the merino wool base layer. The only thing that I had on top of the base layer was one very thick fleece jacket and two pairs of very cheap sweat pants.and I mean cheap Walmart sweatpants. Over that I wore a very thin and packable pair of rain pants and a rain jacket only to keep the snow and precipitation off of me and to help to break the wind. I did not break a sweat due to being too warm, nor did my body feel any of the cold whatsoever. My face was in pain, where exposed, and my hands hurt from the times that I had to take my gloves off to work in detail, but, everything that was covered with merino wool was warm as could be. This set up allowed me to have 100% mobility, Which is very important in my line of work as I have to crawl and climb in and around, and under and on top of things. I could not be more happy or satisfied with this product! If I were going to be working in environment that was any colder, or even subzero at all, I might consider buying a lightweight base layer from this very same company to wear underneath of my expedition weight base layer. I’m fairly certain that that would keep me warm in any cold environment that I am likely to experience in my line of work. I cannot endorse this product enough!I have tried everything that under armor has to offer, I have tried everything but the military has the offer as surplus, the only two options that I haven’t tried are the capalene products from Patagonia and electrically heated clothing. However, I see no reason to look any further for excellent Cold weather workwear! Not only that, but, I had worn this base layer underneath of a single pair sweatpants and a thick cotton hoodie in the weather ranging from the low teens up into the mid 40s in the same day and this product regulated my body temperature very, very well. (This was a the same week that I had received the products,it took a couple of weeks to end up in colder temps.LOL!) Not only did I not feel any chill, but, I also never overheated or even broke a sweat due to this product. It breathes very well, it insulates very well and it does not itch. This is the best product but I have been able to find for what I needed to use it for in the past eight years, and I have tried almost everything available. Thank you very much Minus33!Again,I have been using the Expedition weight quarter zip top and Expedition weight bottoms.I have washed both as per the instructions on the label, two times and they have come out in perfect condition,so far. You can really see and feel the quality of the craftsmanship and material. The thumb holes in the top REALLY make it easy to get the next layer on and off, too!

It is, but it is also gonna be ... Amazing
Just to start off ... I haven't worn this outside yet. Just inside.I ordered this shirt just as it was just starting to get warmer outside. Thankfully, a winter storm came through to make it only 26F, for a high, the other day. I had on my light-weight short sleeve wool top that I use while cycling.I was still feeling a little chilly. I thought "I need to try on this shirt". I put it on over top of my other shirt. It felt amazing. It was so warm. You know the feeling of wrapping yourself in a soft wool blanket on a chilly day? That it what it felt like. I spent the rest of the day in the shirt.I also have the Kancamagus bottoms. I had them on too. I have worn those while cycling in the teens (0F for wind chill). I still stayed warm with them under a windproof layer, so I can't wait until next winter to try out this shirt. Also, I really like how long the arms are. You don't have to worry about stretching them out. The thumb holes are a great addition. The 1/4 zip was exactly what I wanted. Super pleased with my purchase!I will update the rating if anything changes. I did have to give light weight a 3 star because it is thick wool. By default, it is kind of heavy, but it was expected. Kind of hard to make it light weight and still so warm.

Worth the price!
This sweater is unbelievably comfortable! Super-thick and heavy, it is not a lightweight sweater. It’s surprisingly heavy for it’s size but this adds to the comfort when wearing it. Tag says 100% Merino wool; very soft but with a dense weave. Good for a range of temps with a t shirt underneath, say from 45 to 70 degrees. This kept me comfortable on a long plane ride when the temps were highly variable. Would buy again despite the price if they had other colors available (mine was black). Highly recommend.

Warm wool layer
It is a very warm, very good layer. But it fits small. I bought another model of the Minus33 wool sweater at size of small. That one fits me very well. So I bought his one at same size. The sleeve is quite short. I'm 5`9 height and 150 lb weight. Should choose medium.

Soft and warm
I wore the Kobuk Expedition jersey on the first ride today. It was in the low 20s and I felt cool, but not cold, at the beginning and ten minutes into the ride I started to feel warm. Very happy with its performance. I had an Ibex Shak merino wool sweater (390g/m) for two years. The Kobuk (400 g/m) seems a little warmer. The fabric is also finer. It looks and feels almost like cotton knit because of its finer wool (18 micron vs. 20 micron for the Shak). It does feel a bit loose as compared to the Shak which is form-fitting. The Kobuk is $14 cheaper than the Shak on Amazon. So that is also not bad. In terms of appearance, I think the Shak looks more elegant because it looks more like a nice wool sweater while the Kokub looks like a cotton sweater.

Outstanding!
The best, most comfortable, high functioning, high quality, heavyweight longies I've ever had. Synthetic fiber materials bothers my skin after 12 hrs, especially after 24 hrs. I wore these for weeks up in Colorado's high country this winter hunting and backpacking. I wish I would have found these sooner.

I love the Minus33 brand
I love the Minus33 brand. Merino wool is the way to go. It is the only thing I have been wearing for years. I never stink no matter how far I hike in CO. My record is 40 days in a row without washing the Expedition weight crew. It was salt stained all over. I would hang it up at night outside the tent and the next morning it was good to go, absolutely no smell. My wife couldn't even believe it.The lightweight Minus33 run easily. The Midweight can also develop runs but not as easily. I have had an Expedition weight crew for four years and I still wear it. It looks old but it is still warm and works.
