Q: I can't find this anywhere. Has it been completely discontinued? If so, what's the closest thing to it?

Upon further investigation, I went to their website. Actually there were 2. One said discontinued, but the other said temporarily out of stock. It not to worry, it will return. So there is hope.

Q: Will this spray upside down, like when I need to put it on my back? Other pumps don't, and this is important to me.

It will most likely not work. The pump is a plastic straw-like mechanism. Therefore, inverted, it will not be taking in the fluid
