I actually hurt my hand and finger trying to get the pump to work on the facial sunscreen. It just would not pump properly. Finally when I just got mad and whacked it, it spewed sunscreen everywhere! I was pretty disappointed at the waste! However, what I could use of the lotion was wonderful. It’s creamy and moisturize and absorbs well. My fair skin looked a little warmer and brighter due to the pearlescent nature of the lotion and I did not burn at all! It also did not clog my pores or cause any breakouts. My skin was smooth and glowy! It also washes off easily. I was a little confused bc I first used a sample last year, and I remembered it being a bit darker in color, giving me more of a ready-tan effect. I’mWondering if the formula changed or if there used to be different tones and now there’s just a universal shade? (I could be remembering it wrong.)The body lotion is great too. It goes in easily more like moisturizer than traditional sunscreen. It spreads evenly and absorbs well and protected my pale skin from burning. It doesn’t leave your hands greasy or oily. It is actually quite lovely, but I was disappointed that it didn’t have quite the same pearly glow as the sunscreen for the face. The bag is cute. I may or may not ever use it.I definitely want to try the lip balm/gloss sunscreen.I love that these products are environmentally aware. I do wish they were either a little less expensive or came in a larger size for what I’m spending. I’m also concerned at the accessibility of the products. I can only find them online at Sephora, Amazon, and the Cay Skin website. The three platforms don’t carry exactly the same products and the line is rather limited. Please don’t discontinue the sunscreen I have fallen in love with! Please please please market the heck out of this and and keep it coming. I love it! I took away one star only because of the trouble I had getting the pump to work.

This Cay Skin Isle Glow Face & Body Sunscreen Set w/Makeup Bag includes the full size tinted face and body lotion sunscreens and a small zippered canvas bag that fits both sunscreens and a few extras. The body lotion pump worked right off the bat, but I had to press the face lotion pump so much to get it to work that I almost gave up. But it hasn’t given me any issue since it was primed and working.These are SPF 45 broad spectrum chemical sunscreens with Avobenzone, Octisalate, and Octocrylene. I prefer mineral sunscreen, such as non nano zinc oxide, for daily use as opinions vary about the effects of absorbing chemical sunscreens. But I do use chemical sunscreens sometimes and they have aesthetic benefits some may prefer (though I feel zinc sunscreens have improved a ton). I have light skin with an olive hue. I don’t get a white cast, and the tint in these sunscreens doesn’t make my skin look darker.The formulas do create a glowy or pearlized effect that I assume is from mica (in both) and also Fluorphlogopite in the body lotion. It’s subtle on my light skin but may show more on darker skin (can’t say for sure). My skin is dry and absorbs the lotions quickly. But I wait to get dressed normally while I do hair and makeup and I do think the body lotion could transfer color if one was to put on light clothing just after application (so I’d test it by lightly dabbing an area with a white napkin or cloth).These lotions feel creamy, lightweight and nongreasy but are moderately hydrating and also have some good anti aging ingredients. These may replace other moisturizers for some. I can use these alone if just taking a walk or running a few errands, but with my dry skin I prefer applying these after moisturizing if I’m heading out for the day. I’ve applied face makeup after the face sunscreen without an issue. I’m in and out of the sun and these are effective for my purposes, but I don’t spend all day in the sun anymore. These do NOT appear to be water resistant formulas.These lotions don’t have “Fragrance” but both have a light scent. The face lotion has fragrant oils, while the body lotion has ethylene brassylate. Both have some potential to cause irritation or allergy, especially the face lotion. My sensitive skin has done okay using these on a typical sunny day in and out of the sun, but I can’t say if my skin would get irritated or burned using these if getting prolonged, direct exposure in intense sun as I avoid that situation when possible. Like it. 4 stars.

I really love both of these Isle Glow sunscreen formulas. The makeup bag is a nice little bonus.First, the face lotion was a challenge to get started. Not sure why it's so difficult but it's worth the effort. Once I could get the product out though it was great. Goes on almost more like a moisturizer yet leaves a hint of glow behind. Not really added color, just a fresh look. The scent is different. Not like normal sunscreen and not unpleasant, hard to describe.The body sunscreen was easier to use. Again, goes on like a regular lotion and leaves behind a slight glow. Maybe a bit less than the face product. Both are hydrating and it feels like I'm just pampering my skin in general rather than just sun protection.This is a great set to try out both products and has me interested in the lip product as well. The value of the set is great. In general this line seems to be on par with other higher end sunscreen products with regard to price and I feel it's worth it for the effects.

really expensive for two small, plastic bottles of sunscreen and a bag. presentation was nice, bottles made the product feel "cheap." not reef safe, and i feel like this blends and looks differently on my skin every time i use it.
