I love the Sapporo Ichiban Miso ramen, but every time I've tried Miso soup it's been gross. I decided I'd try to make my own ramen because the one I love is always out. I picked this brand because it had good reviews and was cheaper than most. I thought it tasted awful, nothing like the ramen... More like vinegar and old potatoes? I added other spices and salt... Maybe I need MSG? Or maybe that's what it's supposed to taste like and I just don't like it? I've never had "real" miso soup so I don't want to judge too harshly... I personally did not like it at all though.

It's easy to use, but don't over do! Remember, it's salty, like bullion. I add a little to canned soup and assorted pkg side dishes when I want oriental flavor. It's good in rice, of course. Try a dab in your scrambled eggs! It's yummy.
