Solid little stunter!
Got this scooter for my 9 year old who is pretty savy on a scooter but learning and growing his confidence in stunts. He has been on a hand-me-down scooter from a friend that's pretty worn in so this was a perfect scooter for him. Assembly instructions weren't all that great, however it wasn't terribly hard to assemble. The scooter has a wide foot plate and feels pretty sturdy, it's been thrown down and left in the yard so many times that I can definitely say it's sturdy enough to handle some falls and then some. The wheel are of good construction and makes a great scooter for beginners whether they are learning how to use a scooter for the first time or learning stunts!

Light weight
It is ok. Made for roughly the 10ish age group. I got it for my teen and it didn't do so well with much weight on it.

Good, bad, and beautiful
The instructions for putting this scooter together are terrible. The included Allen wrench does not look like the one shown in the manual, but it was suitable for the task. There are included parts (a washer and a nut) that are not addressed by the manual at all, so we did not use them in assembly.Upon assembly, it was difficult to get the post mounted to the main body; had to completely loosen the mounting bracket at the bottom, which revealed several blemishes in the color underneath. The instructions do not tell you which way to orient the front wheel or the post, but from looking at the photo, you can see that the front wheel brackets should bend forward; which also results in the logo showing through a hole on the lower front of the post. There is also a slit on the back of the lower mount, which somewhat lines up within a larger slit on the back of the vertical handlebar post...although it takes some fiddling to get it perfectly centered, and then you have to tighten both bolts on the lower bracket, so it helps to have someone helping you assemble this. I do not like this method of assembly, as bolts are a maintenance item that require checking and re-tightening over time, and because there is no notch to keep the post centered, if one forgets to do routine preventative maintenance checks on the scooter and if the bolts were to become loose over time, the steering post could theoretically not do what it's supposed to do. It is a very snug fit on the lower mount, so even though a worst case scenario may not be of high probability, it is still a possibility to keep in mind. The instructions DO say, "Make sure all components are assembled and secured sturdily before each use." That's a typical CYA line that manufacturers put in their product manuals, but it still indicates the possibility of things getting loose and unsafe over time (this applies to all human powered transportation devices). The steering post height is NOT adjustable as far as I can tell. The lower mount to which the post is attached is too short to attempt raising the height and it does not appear to be designed in a way that one should do that. Keep this in mind if you're looking for a scooter to grow with your child. On the positives, the welds seem to be well done. The platform has a very good, grippy texture, and it's pretty wide. The coloring looks well done too.The handlebars attach to the post unevenly; there is a gap on the front facing side that doesn't get more snug when the single mounting bolt is tightened down to the post. All in all, I'd say it's hard to recommend this over a Razor A5 Lux. That scooter requires minimal assembly, it's adjustable, seems to have less to worry about going wrong, and it can be folded for transport in your car...plus it's less expensive than this CORE model.

Decent scooter for a beginner
I got this scooter for my 9 year old nephew. This is his first scooter so he's having a blast learning the ropes and doing something new. This is marketed as a "stunt" scooter and it has a wide deck on which to stand. It takes a bit to assemble the scooter because the instructions are not very clear. However, if you look at the photos, you can make sense of which way to align the front wheel. Overall, it wasn't terribly difficult, and it included the allen wrench needed to complete the job. The material is rather sturdy and we didn't detect any wobbles once assembled. The wheels are nice and dense and seem like they will last a while running on the sidewalk or at the skate park. The handlebar is not adjustable, but I'm thinking since it's stunt scooter perhaps this is intended to keep the handle bar strong and prevent collapsing. At the time of this review, there was a 20% coupon offered making the scooter around $118, which is a good price compared to similar stunt scooters. I would recommend this product to a friend and we are very happy with it.
