Awesome Brewer
Excellent build quality, quick brew time for the process it performs including the bloom. Makes a fantastic cup of brewed coffee, best I’ve had from a drip maker. Highly recommend

Great coffee! Best extraction of the brands I've used.
Models that I have used and compare to the Ratio Six: Technovorm Mocca Master, Bonavita 1900, OXO 8 cup brewer, Breville Precision Brewer. I roast and grind my own coffee and have tools to measure roast levels and extraction rates.Pros: Brews a great cup of coffee!!! I use Light to Medium roast coffee. I use a 17:1 water to coffee ratio (1000ml H2O/ 58.8 g coffee). The Ratio Six has by far the best extraction rate. This gives you a very rich, flavorful cup of coffee. If you don't care about extra features such as a clock, remote timer, etc and all you want is the best cup of coffee, then in my opinion, this is the brewer that you want. This is the series 2 version of the Ratio Six and they apparently have fixed the problem of the heat shield splashing when you take the completed brew out. The heat shield now has about 1/3 inch clearance from the top. They apparently redesigned the carafe but I still have some issues (see Cons).Cons: It is a little wonky having to configure the heat shield, brew basket, carafe for each brew but the end result is very much worth it compared to "simpler" brewers. This is really not much of a con. The Carafe design is the biggest con. Once you brew and then attach the lid to the carafe, you can only get about 1/2 of the coffee out before the coffee starts to splash out of the carafe. I just take the lid off for the last 1/2 of the coffee and everything pours well. Again, the coffee is so good that I don't mind any of the "cons"Overall, I am very pleased with this brewer. It is now my favorite. It doesn't have the bells and whistles that other brewers have. All it does is make great coffee!!! It has the best extraction rate of all of the brewers that I have used.

Makes fantastic coffee; parts can trap water
I bought this after disappointment in the Moccamaster. This machine has consistently made great tasting coffee for me. I have used light and medium roasts with great results. Customer Service said to use their filters or BUNN 8-12cup. I have been using BUNN filters with good results.I did have trouble with the outside of the carafe, lid, and basket trapping water between the plastic layers. I didn't like that old water could be sitting in there getting moldy. Customer Service, however, was great and they sent me replacement parts for free there were a bit better, but not perfect. But since consistent, great coffee was my number one priority, I am still very happy with this machine - I just have to shake the parts a lot after washing them to get more water out of the cracks.

Worst functionality ever
1. The on button is EXTREMELY sensitive, blow on it and it will start2. The is NO WARMER for the craft3. When the unit says READY it means it’s done dispensing water, you have no idea when the brewing cup has finished outputting coffee. Since there is no auto stop, you will get coffee everywhere if it’s not 100% empty.4. Once you’re done brewing, you have to find another spot to put the brewing cup since it just hangs on the top of the craft5. It’s MASSIVE!6. As I was putting it away for return I noticed paint missing between the base and the water unit. Which is crazy for the cost of this thing! It’s like someone asked chatGPT to make a pretty coffee maker and just shipped it without ever using.

Messy and expensive
I watched as many reviews as possible and eventually decided to get this as it seemed like the reviews all suggested this made good tasting coffee despite the shortcomings.I have multiple grinders and I tried different grind sizes and weights of coffee. It was not superior to anything else I have at home. Temperature is not as hot as advertised and it goes cold very quickly, the carafe doesn’t completely seal to an off position, so it cools very quickly, you need a separate thermos likeCarafe to keep your coffee warm. I knew this didn’t have a warmer but was hoping the carafe would keep coffee hot. Now my least favorite part is the brew basket removal. It is too clunky and always leaks when you remove it, it is too messy. When you pour coffee sometimes the carafe leaks too. I don’t think I had one brew where my countertop wasn’t wet. At the end of the day I didn’t see why I would spend this much money on a coffee machine that didn’t taste that much better, has no clock, no warmer and you have to pour coffee into a separate carafe to keep it warm. For the price I wondered what am I paying for?

Best Coffee Maker
Replaced my Moca Master. This machine is well thought out in every detail. On my Moca Master I used to do a manual bloom, this one does it in the brew cycle automatically. Every detail is well thought out from the grind's basket to the coffee pot and the tray to place the grinds basket. The Coffee that comes out is as good or even better than my Moca Master. Only con is that I would like to see a 10-cup version. A must buy if you are looking for that great cup of coffee.

Makes excellent coffee!!!
This coffee maker is wonderful. I grind the coffee beans medium-coarse, use filtered water, and preheat the carafe. The result is a cup of coffee that is hot, rich and nuanced. I couldn’t be happier. The Ratio Six Series 2 works beautifully. And the carafe doesn’t drip!!!

Only one fault -
The only fault it has, is when using the basket heat shield, the paper coffee filter falls away from sidewalls making grounds get into the carafe. Happened all three times I tried to use it.You do not need to use this optional collar, when you do not use it - the filter stays intact.Other than that, it makes very good coffee. The materials feel solid and high quality. It brews one mug as well as it brews a whole pot.
