This is a good replacement for the original window adapter that came with the portable ac. The adjustment capability isn’t perfect, at least for my windows, but it works OK. (My window is too narrow for 3 panels to fit, but 2 panels just barely fit: the hardware securing the panels together barely tightens on enough material to stay put.) Also, the “rain shield” restricts too much air flow and my unit can’t purge condenser heat adequately with it in place. I recommend that it not be used.

I don't understand why you get a crappy window kit when you buy a portable AC, so I had to buy a new one. This one is easy to install and fit perfectly in my window :)

The height from the bottom of the panel to the duct cut out is too short. This means that in most windows the duct will prevent the frame from resting flat on the window bottom. Which will lead to gaps. 1” thick weather stripping resolved this but it wasn’t included. Also, the widths are weird. Most of my windows were just too narrow for the third panel and too wide for just two. It’s not a big deal to cut down but hardly universal. If one of the two adjustable panels was a few inches wider the panel had two extra inches of height under the cut out and it came with weather stripping it’d be 5 stars.

The window vent adapter for the hose on my frigidaire FRA093PT1 broke - thought i'd give this a chance before buying a new a/c. item was packaged well. the adapter didn't quite fit - i managed to get it on, and it is secure, although it's a bit askew. there seems to be a very small amount of air leakage - the item comes with some tape to wrap around the joint, but it didn't seem very sticky, so i will find some other tape solution.overall this item provided a workable solution at a very reasonable price.Edit: forgot to mention to make sure you measure your window. A number of reviews here mentioned that the element that sits in the window frame is quite large - I had ignored this as I felt my windows were normal sized. The element was almost too wide for my window. My windows are 33.5” wide, if yours are any narrower you may have issues.Also, the bracket has hardly any clearance between the bottom edge and the exhaust port hole. I had to put some pieces of wood as shims under the bracket so that the port hole would clear the bottom lip of my window.

I have a large home, and being a woman of a certain age, I sleep hit! Therefore I have a portable AC for my master bedroom here in Florida. Unfortunately, the window attachment part is subpar. Why don't they include a proper window device? Anyway, this does the trick! You don't have to use a bunch of ugly tape to avoid air leaks. The design of this is seamless so there's no major gaps. The round portal allows a more efficient exhaust system than the skinny oval one that came with the unit. A little head's up... I also purchased an insulating wrap to go around the exhaust hose. It prevents heat from coming off of the hose. Sorry that I don't have that product info handy, but it's not hard to find on Amazon. Hope this was helpful.

I recently purchased the Portable AC Window Vent Kit and I am overall satisfied with its performance.
