Easy to use and take on vacation, fits in a Pilot's size suitcase
Easy to use, have full wider bed rail at home. This fit in an overnite bag, making it easy to use at hotels along our trip. Lightweight and came with side bag which was helpful at hotels without a nearby bedside table.

Great Product
I can't say enough how we are pleased with this! After a fall out of bed, my husband and I decided we should get a bed rail. This one is perfect! Easy to put together and install, just slide between mattress and box springs. There is a cable to secure it from the other side,, but the base is long enough that we didn't need to do that. It is steady and doesn't get in the way. Provides stability when getting out of bed.

Lots of positives . . .
I've owned several these, and the Mumicol Bed Rail is the best of them for several reasons. But, first, I will speak to the benefits of the rail in general. These safety bed rails are great for elderly, and disabled individuals! I put one on our great-grandpa's bed side to help him stabilize himself when he gets out of bed. Bless his soul. He has Parkinson's, and at 94 he is very shaky. Especially when getting up in the night, he has had trouble finding, and maintaining his balance. And, that is important before he tries to start walking to the bathroom. We don't need any further falls. He still wants to be as independent as possible. And, we want him to be. (That makes him happier, so we are all happier.) I can't communicate the positive effect that a simple bed rail has had on grandad. He didn't know they existed, and neither did I. Of course, he was hesitant at first, but now that he has the bed rail in place, it has really done wonders for him! And, the rail brings us all some peace of mind in a rather challenging situation. Awesome! On a side note: These bars are excellent for people who have had a stroke. A friend recently had a stroke, and he has found it difficult to pull himself up with the left side of his body. Having this bar on the right side has really helped him gain back some of his strength. And, that's great!Importantly, the following make Mumicol's bed rail a good choice. 1. The top of the rail has a rubber, padded handle grasp. (Some others are made of hard plastic.) The rubber feels better to the hand, and helps the user really get a hold of the bar. 2. There are four other hidden rubber pads on the rail in order to help secure the rail under the mattress. The rubber makes the rail unlikely to slide around easily. 3. The bottom of the rail is adjustable, and it is longer than the others I've had, which equals more stability on a Queen, and King mattress. 4. Because the rail is adjustable in length, it will easily fit any size bed. The Mumicol can accommodate a twin mattress, and a king mattress. Note: I suggest extending the stabilizing bar as far as possible to anchor it into place. 5. The bed rail has an optional pouch, in which to place books, the TV remote, etc. 6. The rail also has an optional stabilization belt to attach to the bed frame that goes all the way around the mattress. I haven't needed it, but it's a good idea where needed. All of these features make the Mumicol a good choice. Recommended.

Perfect for surgery recovery
I got this for my mom who recently had hernia surgery and can't use her stomach muscles. She is so thankful for it! It has helped tremendously.First, it was really easy to put together. Although we were using it on a twin size bed, I really appreciate that it is adjustable up to a Cal king size. The bar can extend quite far, providing good stabilization on the larger beds and allowing us to use it on every size. The height of the grip bar is also adjustable for different thicknesses of mattress; you can adjust it up or down.Second, I like that it has grips around not only the top handle (which provides for a more stable, comfortable grip on for mom's hands), but also on the bottom so that it doesn't slide around under the mattress. This is a very thoughtful consideration that makes a huge difference when using it.We secured the bed rail with the included anchor strap and pulled it super tight, ensuring it doesn't move or slide on her. It also comes with two buckles that you can install directly into the bed frame for added stability but we found that this was not needed. It would probably be needed only for queen or king size beds. The rail comes with a pouch that connects into the bar and I was so impressed to see that it has pockets on BOTH sides of it! My mom puts the things she needs closest here - tv remote, her phone, a mini flashlight, some meds and tissue papers. It's securely attached, doesn't move around and keeps everything nice and safe in there.Everything about this bed rail seems well thought out and carefully made. It is meeting all of our needs and we are very happy with it! My mom likes it so much and finds it so helpful that she says she'll likely keep using it even after she's recovered. Highly recommend.

Nicely manufactured assist device for getting up in bed and preventing falls
This review is of the Mumicol Bed Rail.I requested this for my 92-year-old mother who lives in memory care and who has, unfortunately, started to fall. The Mumicol rail is easy to assemble. You simply slide the tubular steel bars together and they secure with adjustable sprung latches in predrilled holes. The device also comes with a nylon strap and ratchet to secure it to the bedframe or metal brackets to optionally screw into a wood board below the mattress. I didn't think the strap or brackets were necessary as the rail sits pretty securely just with the weight of the mattress on top of it.I had my wife try out the rail before we took it over to Memory care. She thought it was great and made it much easier to get up out of bed. As long as you position it above waist level (when you're lying in bed) it won't interfere with swinging your legs over the side to get up. It will help keep you from falling out of bed if you inadvertently roll too far towards the edge of the bed while you sleep. The accessory pouch has two long inside pockets that run the length of the pouch and two shorter outside mesh pockets for something like a water bottle. All in all, a very nice product that serves its purpose.
