Perfect size mat with lots of different turf options
The media could not be loaded. I have been wondering what to do with our smaller backyard and my wife and I agreed that we can both work on our swing this season by getting a practice bay for hitting. Finding the right net was pretty easy, but it took a little bit more effort, trying to find the right mat. We knew we wanted the larger 5’ x 4’ mat, which would be the perfect size and then it came down to getting the right thickness. When I saw this, Matt it checked all the right marks in terms of size thickness, stability, and even weight. We were looking for some thing that would allow us to swing at 100% and offer the performance and friendliness of a thicker mat.I did run into one issue with the turf option that checks the angle direction of your club whether or not you’re open or close and it was a little wet that morning when I was hitting, and it immediately tore the top part off and separated it. I should be able to superglue it back on and it’s not that big of a deal but I thought I would share that.I wanted to score this a five, but with the issue of how easily the one swing angle mat came off I had disc score it a little less than a perfect five. I would’ve normally given it a 4.5 but there was no option for that and so I had to move it to a four. The mat itself that I use 90% of the time is a perfect five so I just convinced myself to change the score to a five. This is a really nice unit if you’re gonna be hitting on it every day. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to spend the extra money or not but I’m really glad that I did and I upgraded from a cheaper Matt that just wasn’t giving me the performance that I wanted, even though it was exactly the same size. I just didn’t have the cushion when I hit down on the ball and thought I would hurt Club so I’m glad I paid more to get this one. I hope that helps.

Gimmicky, but a nice mat
There's a lot to like about this mat and a few things that aren't great. The mat came tightly rolled which is typical, so it took 3-4 days of being under weight plates to flatten out and it's still not quite there, but it will be soon. The mat itself is very thick but reasonably cushioned for taking shots. The turf feels good and it isn't jarring upon impact. The bottom of the mat is very grippy on hardwood, so it doesn't move when you're swinging. Now, let's talk about why you're contemplating buying this mat, which are the different turf pieces you can use. The 3 that you would call "standard", the 2 withered and 1 nylon, performed as expected and fit pretty well. They fit flush with the rest of the mat and stayed secure. The striped mat was fine for me and much like the withered mat. It's good for alignment and a nice visual cue. The track mat is my favorite of the gimmicky mats. It works exactly like the track mat you may have except it stays put and doesn't fly all over the place. That's a huge benefit for that sort of mat. The dual rough mats felt as I figured they would, long but easy to get through. It does not simulate thick rough, and certainly not springtime rough in the Midwest where you need to swing as hard as possible to hack it out of there. I am not a fan of the tee patch as it is higher than the rest of the mat, which is visually odd. I would rather use plastic pyramid tees. Additionally, the tee mat didn't fit properly. One edge was a little wide, so I could not get it to lay flush in the hole. Finally, I hate the sloped mat. It's a great idea that is executed poorly. A sidehill, uphill, or downhill lie is not just where your ball is, it's also your feet and all around you. This piece can only be oriented one way where the back of the mat is the low side or you risk smashing your club into an immovable chunk of rubber that protrudes from the mat. Essentially, you're standing on a perfectly flat surface yet the ball happens to be 2"-3" above the ground. It's odd and unrealistic.Overall, it's a nice mat that provides interesting options for turf variability. Out of the 12+ mats I've tested over the past year, this one is in the top 4 regarding turf feel, comfort, and ability to stay in place.

Higher quality mat with so many inserts for variations that’s a good size and has worked great.
The 8-in-1 Golf Mat by MyVoice, has turned out to be a great mat, that gives me many ways to improve my swing and has survived the abuses. The quality is definitely above average and seems to be holding up well. I love all the inserts and use most of them to help with different aspects of my game. They’re easy to change and offer a lot of variety. The 5X4 makes for a good size that can accommodate both left and righties, with sufficient room. It seems to be handling the weather well if you leave it outside. The bottom is anti-slip and should be able to handle all surfaces.Overall, this has been a great choice that fits great before my hitting net, providing me a solid, well-made mat that offers many ways for me to improve. I’ll be sure to update this review, if I ever start to have problems with it.You can trust that this review is simply my honest opinion that is attempting to provide you with helpful insight that I wish I had before I picked this product. Hopefully it was helpful in your decision.

Not very durable….
They say this is durable…. It’s not very durable. I’ve had mine just over 30 days and 2 inserts are coming apart and edges around insert area are peeling up…

A day in the sun to flatten.
I got this and it was tight as a drum (ok, not THAT tight, but rolled up pretty good), so I took it outside and set it on the driveway in full sun. First, bottom side up so the black heated up for a few hours, then I flipped it over onto a warm section of the driveway, left it for a few hours in the sun, then flipped it over one last time for the last few hours of daylight. That was enough to get it playable in the back yard.I have a few other golf mats, but this one is by far the best I've seen, as it replicates, quite successfully, a good variety of surfaces. In fact, my next door neighbor bent down, and was rubbing his hand on it and was like "that's close to the real thing." Yes it is.it takes about a day to get flat (it might take 2 if you don't have any warm sunshine), but it does a fantastic job of replicating different surfaces you typically encounter on a golf course. This is definitely my best mat yet, and even my neighbor loves it, lol. 5 stars.
