It is always tricky to give any star rating to a product that you want running for the next 20 years! That said, I am quite happy to rate this clock 5 stars today itself, because it is very pleasant to look at, has nice clear digits, and the sweep of the second hand is almost silent. I have been using it since 2 weeks. My usage is in my office, so when we open, there is always light. We will not need to see this clock in the dark (since none of us will be around) - in case you were wondering if it glows in the dark, no it does not.Even with all the digital technology around, in my heart I am an old-fashioned guy that loves analog! I do not mind that this clock does not show a date. I prefer an uninterrupted analog face. While the face itself is around 11 inches / 28cm in diameter, the bezel around is practically zero, which adds to its appealing look in my view.The only minor gripe that I had was that at this price point, I expected the face to be made of glass; but the entire clock is completely fibre. Also the face is quite flat, not convex shaped. At first I was a bit disappointed, but then I realised that this combination of being lightweight with a flat and clear transparent face, actually works better for my office space. Just place it somewhere where you won't have too many lights dazzling or reflecting off the face, and you should be ok. If you plan to shine lights directly at this, do so at an angle; otherwise the reflections may tend to obscure the view.If you want a silent sweep clock that is white and elegant looking, go for this; it also makes a good gift for acquaintances or friends. If you don't mind hearing the seconds tick, and want something more commonplace, you can look at other options and save some money. But.......My personal philosophy is that if you want to see your clock for 20 years and still love it, it should start with love at first sight! Pick the one that you fall in love with at first glance, and forget about the price. (Note - I offer this advice with the disclaimer that it is valid ONLY with clocks, not with cars, not with jobs, definitely not with life partners please!)
