Reptile Fan with Timer,Dehumidifier for Rainforest Terrarium Vivarium, Improving Air Circulation for Amphibians, Reptiles, and Snakes

My granddaughter is just setting up a tank for a new “lizard” and this fan will work great for her. Love the timer and dehumidifier aspect of it. Seems well made and the quality is nice. We certainly want a happy little lizard in the family. :)

I ordered this RUNWUSHENG Reptile Fan with Timer for one of our very bougie rabbits. Our Netherland Dwarf Buck gets very upset when it is over 85* outside... and because he also doesn't really love being in his inside cage, I decided to try this USB fan with a timer. What a game changer!I have an extension cord with a USB plug in it, have the fan plugged into it, and then I have the fan affixed to the outside of the rabbit hutch in such a way that he can't chew the cord and the fan blows inward over a big 8lb block of ice. Win win!This fan is easy to set and pretty reliable. I have it set to turn on at 10AM and it turns off at 8PM. However, it is on the louder side... and doesn't move a ton of air... but for our bougie little rabbit, that's perfectly fine.For the application I am using it for, this fan with a timer is great!!!

I wasn't too impressed with this fan. The way I needed this to go was apparently completely wrong. I didn't want my beardies toes to get caught in the fan and the only other place for it was on top of his tank. So I tried to lay it on top so that the air flow would go into the tank, but the fan didn't want to stay on. It was like it made it off balance and would just shut off automatically. So I had to use it to suck some air out of the tank and blow it into the room...which didn't really work all that well either. It was really really quiet, but just not powerful enough. The timer function was a really nice idea but it did NOT work. The fan would only stay on for 2 minutes and then just shut off. I tried to mess with the function keys and it did absolutely nothing! The timer also said that it was for lighting, like grow lights... But still, it didn't work. 3/5 for me.

This fan adds just the right amount of air movement to my enclosure. The timer works good and keeps it's memory during power failure. Quiet and smooth operation. Easy to program and get running. So far after a month of use it is still running with no issues.

Difficulty with timer control. Weak fan does not keep humidity down.

For me, this is 3 stars, but I am giving it 4 because I needed to use it in an unconventional way. I need a fan pointing down, which this fan can’t do because the blades hit the casing and creates a loud sound. If you are using it in a normal way, it is just fine, but it did not work for my needs.

This works on a snake cage that is made with 1/4 inch hardware cloth it creates a good flow from one end of the 4 foot long cage to the other. we tried putting it on an aquarium ( 55gallon 48 inches long ) we were using to house bearded dragons and the flow was just not enough to keep the humidity down.

Great dehumidifier. Works great.

It’s a useful fan/vent for a smaller terrarium and I like that it can be programmed to turn on and off. Although the fan speed can be adjusted, one of these is not sufficient for a 40 gallon tank. Mine drops 1% of the humidity after running for 9 minutes.
