Better looking than pictures that do not give it justice. Barrett is not made out of wood. It is leather, Only stick is wood and not as described.

Might be expensive BUT its beautiful and it was my treat to me for my Anniversary. Its perfect and very Native looking! I'm part Indian but this is my first piece of a Native item I've ever had and so glad I broke down and bought!!!!!Very beautiful very nicely made !!!

From the complexity of the beading one might expect that this barrette would be much more fragile than it is. The color combinations are beautiful and the barrette extremely well made. I purchased one for my Sister and she's worn it every dat for at least 3 months if not longer. It's as beautiful now as it was when it arrived. I highly recommend this product. I know you'll be extremely pleased with your purchase.

I ordered this hair slide because I used to have a wood carved slide decades ago. My hair is extra thick and most barrettes are too small to accomodate it. This slide is leather backed and can give a bit and stays very nice and snug in my hair. PLUS, its beautiful and I will probably get more in other colors!

The hair barrette was beautiful but I had to return it because the backside of it is made from a vinyl-like substance and was too slippery. It is heavy from the beading and slid right off my hair.
