Great value
Great value, much cheaper than purchasing with the manufacturer at the time of our purchase. My son is 8 and had fun making this by himself. No pieces were missing, which does sometimes happen with Lego sets. The final item is fantastic and can be mounted on the wall, looks great!

Looks amazing
My daughter was over the moon with this and worked solidly to create her masterpiece. It's now hung on her bedroom wall and everyone comments on it.

Cheaper than the Lego shop
We got this in the Black Friday sale after trying to source it for a few weeks. The price was much cheaper than the Lego shop itself. Our son loved it.

A renaissance classic...in bricks
This was a really pleasant surprise from Lego! I would never have considered a Lego version of a real painting but this works so well. There's a slight air of "uncanny valley" around it since it's hard to faithfully create something so detailed in Lego, but the designers have focused on the most important elements and done a brilliant job. This is made up of lots (1,500+) of very small Lego pieces. but I found this to be one of the most relaxing Lego builds I have undertaken. And I especially like Lego's spin on the classic which gives it a layered 3D finish. There are some bits that are really repetitive, such as the frame. But the frame itself does look really nice with it's antique finish. It even has a picture holder on the back so you can actually hang this up easily on the wall. The Lego designers have paid so much attention to detail by including skin tone pieces in shades that create shadow and dimension. Details like the hand for example are so simple but well done. My biggest gripe is the face which does not capture Mona Lisa's iconic wry smile and makes her look a bit more like she is scowling.I think it looks absolutely fantastic, especially the way the light catches it and I've had a few people comment on it! Whilst it is not super accurate, it has captured the key broader elements of the painting. It's definitely a set aimed at adults and my son was happy to give this a pass and let me build it! With an RRP of £89.99, it's certainly a good piece to price ratio, but I still think it's worth waiting for a sale as this is one you will simply hang on the wall.I really hope to see more classic paintings recreated in Lego! This could be the start of a really unique range.
