Best Neck Fan by Far!
I primarily bought the AICE LITE as I suffer from really bad hot flushes. I also plan on taking it on holiday as I am now less tolerant of heat. I was a little worried at how heavy it was going to be as compared to other neck fans it looked quite substantial in size. I am very happy with the shape, weight and fit of this neck fan. It doesn’t aggravate my neck pain in fact the heat setting helps when I am in a pain flare up. I love the air conditioning that it gives. It can cool me and keep me cool far better than any of my other fans. It is easy to transport too. The large cooling plates are fantastic and really effective. The wind feel is good although I would possibly like even more. I have long hair and wear it in a ponytail while in use. It does not catch and I have no worry that my hair could be pulled in. Noise of the fan is a little loud but it probably needs to be to allow the effective cooling you get. It can be hard to hear others talking to you but I am not finding this a huge problem the option of the silent mode does help. I really like the fact I can use the fan while I charge it on a power bank this takes any worry away that I will run out of battery when I need it. The app is fantastic. It is very responsive with no lag between clicking a command and the fan changing function. It is super easy to use and I use the app to use the fan more than the actual controls on the fan itself. I am still playing around with the functions and am intrigued with the AI mode. In conclusion I love this fan it has changed my cooling and heating needs. It is by far superior to my other fans. I like the easiness of use and the weight and shape is excellent as previously mentioned. This is very important to me as I am a chronic pain sufferer. I would truly recommend this product to anyone. It’s a game changer.

Oh wow! Just wow!!! I love it!
Ok, I’ll admit it, I’m a total wuss when it comes to dealing with the heat, so I am of course the proud owner of -many many- neck fans and other things that claim to help. I’m here to tell you that -this- personal neck air con is NOT A NECK FAN. It is nothing short of glorious, cold, air. I legit have a box of neck fans that I will never use again because the AICE Lite is everything I could need. It has cold plates that lay against your neck (and buddy, let me tell you, they are COLD. If you use the highest setting it will be so cold that you had best be in the heat to use it!!!) and it blows cold air both up towards you and down you. That little bit of heat we had a few days ago? Not a problem. I was comfortable thanks to this. Now, I’m not gonna snow you over, yes it DOES make noise. Of course it does. It’s a powerful bit of kit that makes you cool in the heat. Have you ever heard of a silent air con? The noise isn’t off putting though. I think it could even be louder and I’d not care because I’m so filled with gratitude to not have to deal with the heat any more. I did use some noise cancelling headphones to watch a movie while I was wearing the AICE Lite and it was just fine.I know it’s a bit spenny but it’s worth every single penny. It fits great, it’s good on the battery life (and if you have your own power pack you can use that while out and about to have even longer with the AICE lite), it performs beyond what I could have ever imagined (helloo…. greatest invention ever for a heat-wuss like me!) and it’s easy to use. Very straight forward. Just buy it.

Best I've tried, helpful, but devices like this have their limits
I've tried a few neck fans, with and without cooling plates. This is the best of the lot so far, but also the most expensive. The plates do cool down to 16 degrees (I've tested this with a thermometer) and cool down quickly. When you first put this device on your neck the cooling effect is almost instant, but once that limited area of your skin reaches the same temperature as the cooling plates, the cooling effect seems to lessen. I think devices like this are inherently limited in terms of how much the cooling of part of your neck can translate into the lowering of overall body temperature. Please don't think that this is going to be anywhere close to the effectiveness of a proper air conditioning unit. It never can be.Does it make a significant difference though? Yes, albeit partially placebo effect, I suspect. The air that the fans push out isn't cooled, but has the usual cooling feeling on the skin. I was hoping for more power from the fan(s) and for them to reach my face (as other neck fans can) rather than just my neck and a little tiny bit down my back, as is the case with this unit.My office building gets pretty hot during the hottest summer days, and this makes those days feel a lot more tolerable, bordering on comfortable, so I have given the item 4 stars.Build quality, battery life, the phone app and ergonomics are all good. The LED display is useful. You probably won't find a better unit for the price, just manage your expectations when it comes to the cooling abilities of units in this form-factor. They have their limits.I hope this was useful!
