Tastes Awful. π
I've waited years for mushroom broth and now I'm stuck with this garbage. I love Lono Life broths, but I thought my husband added some cleaner to it. Please don't ignore the other ratings about this and waste your money like I did.

Smooth texture, but with a distinctly funky mushroom flavor.
These powder packets mix up individual servings of broth, making them a bit expensive on a per-unit basis but I guess you pay for convenience. I tried one and the resulting broth was smooth texturally, but had a strong and somewhat funky taste. While it was definitely mushroomy, it didn't 100% match any of the varieties I'm familiar with - if I had to choose a closest I'd say shiitake, but it felt like maybe a blend. I tried adding some salt and other seasonings to balance it out with modest success. It seems like a quality product and I can definitely see the appeal from a nutritional perspective, but personally I'm inclined to look for a milder-flavored and more cost effective alternative.

Unfortunately, I couldn't bear to drink more than a few sips
As someone on Keto, having bone broth packets seemed wonderful. Even the price point of $10 for 4 seemed ok as it offers convenience. You can find other options like this at Whole Foods for similar prices, but those are already in cartons, so the shelf life requires fridgeration after opening. It seemed like the powder was more than necessary for 10oz, but I followed the instructions. There were a bunch of clumps that floated to the top which required lots of stirring to fully mix in. Now, the aroma initally was chicken forward, but immiedately after, you get hit with some sort of forest / herbal smell. I don't know what in the ingredients it is, perhaps its the lioins mane, etc of supplemental kinds of mushrooms. I don't think its the thyme, but it could be a combination of the ingredients and perhaps the natural flavors they listed in the first few ingredients listed. Upon sipping, it was just a valdition of the aroma, but more intense of the back end of the "forest". I had to dump it out. I wish I liked it or at least could tolerate it, but it was unbearable; and I am very open to odd flavors. It almost was nearing chicken broth mouthwash. Please update the recipe.

Horrible Flavor "LonoLife Mushroom Chicken Bone Broth"
I do not like the flavor or smell of this LonoLife Mushroom Chicken Bone Broth. This taste horrible and stinks as though it is rancid. That being said, I do like most of the others I have tasted.

Easy to Make, Convenient
This bone broth powder is convenient and shelf stable. It doesn't taste exactly like chicken broth but it's still good for stews and soups. I wouldn't have it on its own - it tastes better with lots of vegetables and meat mixed in.
