Great product
Great product and my hamster cages look so cute this is the best stuff for my little hamsters they love it and it takes ages for any smell to come from cage so well worth paying that little bit extra and the hamsters love it I think because it’s so soft and they can burrow for ages lol

A waste of money
wow, needs to be made clearer the size, and explained straight away, in first sentence, as people are busy, and do not have time to read allok, so, I bought this, as it said 24 litres, thinking it was going to be that size???So, rather shocked when it arrived, as a tiny bale, it would do one clean out for my guinea....as its for him, as he keeps getting hay in his eyes, I thought this to be more for bedding, I would of used pellet cat litter , the wooden ones, or for chicken coops, as a mass bale, lasts about 6 mths, for 10 quid...I am very disaspointed, and will have to wait to see how good a lot of reviews claim??BUT I AM GLAD I DID NOT BUY THE LARGER OPTION< And will not be again...

Found plastic/ duck tape
I replaced care fresh with this bedding roughly a month and a half ago and have had no problems until now.Luckily I sift through the bedding by pulling it apart small pieces at a time and I found a fairly large piece of what looks like plastic duck tape. One sided black the other looks like a normal piece of bedding. It’s very tough material and probably not good for my goos to eat. Considering switching back to care fresh seen as I used it for years with no problems. Rather my pets be safe then slightly softer bedding.Edit:Tried the white bedding and it is extremely dusty. It’s also an off white with pieces of pure white. I found hard pieces in it also. Not sure if it’s paper pressed really tightly together or something else.

The best!
Dust-free, holds tunnels and absorbs loads. Best bedding I've ever had for my gerbils, they're enjoying themselves so much!EDIT: I've downgraded my rating; this bedding didn't absorb anywhere near as much odour as my previous substrate - It started smelling about twice as fast. If you have a smaller tank for your gerbils this shouldn't be an issue, but in larger tanks where bedding might only need to be changed every few months, it gets expensive.

Not good for Lionhead rabbits!
When I received this I was really impressed with the size and how it expands - such a good idea and amazing the amount you get out of the block. It is soft and good quality at a good price. However, factor in a Lionhead rabbit and it went rapidly downhill ....

Wonderful Bedding!
This has to be one of the best products I’ve ever bought on Amazon!I have 1 mini lop and 2 mini rexes, once I had cleaned their cage out and put the Kaytee bedding in, I was so pleased and impressed with the softness of it and knew my bunnies would love it.When I put them back in their cage, a big inspection began lol, they sniffed it, scraped it under them and then one of my rexes actually burrowed and laid down half immersed the bedding, they really love it lol, a plus factor as well.....they are now using the litter tray at last but just one downfall about the Kaytee bedding.....I now have had to order fixed feed bowls as they keep kicking it into their bowls lol! but I’m not complaining because they love their bedding and I’m going to stay with the Kaytee bedding and any bad reviews about will not make me change my mind, happy bunnies mean healthy bunnies!

Does not expand to 3x its volume!
The packaging says that it will expand to 3x its size once opened, which I thought was good as the package was so small for nearly 25 litres. We opened the bag to put in our guinea pig cage and the bedding did not expand and we used nearly the whole bag on one medium sized hutch. Thought it might take time to loosen up but in the morning it was exactly the same. Won't be buying this again, which is a shame as I was hoping it would be soft and warm for our guinea pigs.

Too dusty for gerbils!
I have never seen bedding this dusty throughout all my years as a gerbil owner. I placed some of the bedding in the plastic cage base and let my gerbils run on this bedding about 10 minutes while I was cleaning the main large gerbilarium. One of the gerbils started sneezing and rubbing her nose constantly. All of them were covered in white fluff. The sides and corners of the gerbilarium were covered in fluff too. It sticks and is hard to get rid of. As I was disposing of the entire bedding, my clothes caught a lot of the dust and I ended up sneezing a few times. I can't imagine letting a pet live in this.
