A brilliant solution for some tricky repair challenges
This is not a replacement for standard solder but a specialist product for particular scenarios where the much higher temperature of regular solder (320 degree tip temperature typically), is higher than the material being soldered will tolerate. This is a brilliant and cost-effective solution for scenarios where you want to repair things like mylar or kapton ribbon cables, where the plastic won't take standard solder temperatures. In testing with some standard copper foil, the paste bonds strongly to the foil using a soldering iron tip temperature of 170 degrees, and this is well below the maximum temperature for these plastics at least for fairly brief periods of time.In scenarios where the base metal won't tin with this solder (I have not tried anything other than clean copper foil at this stage), repair with adhesive copper tape which is then connected electrically using conductive silver paint (which does not have any adhesive bonding strength), will provide a solderable surface. Once I am comfortable with the product, I intend to repair some vintage calculator keyboard assemblies, where a top and bottom layer are bonded, initially through conductive adhesive which has now failed. The plastic used does not melt at the tip temperature used here.Although I have not tried this, it ought to be possible to do reflow soldering using SMD components in a domestic oven set to around 170 degrees. Note that this is quite a brittle solder and so wouldn't be suitable for scenarios where there is significant flexure or vibration, but, again, as I said, it's a specialist product.

Excellent solder paste

It's solder
A bit too stiff to use with small components, other than that it does the job.

Works well.
Works really well.Only a tiny amount is needed.I've watched many YouTube guides on the use of solder paste and following them have had good success with solder paste.
