Ordered yesterday, delivered today and set up this evening. Not in position for anymore than 2 hours and went to check it prior to letting the dogs out. Sadly, but pleased it worked...I cannot understand why some find it hard to get results. All you do is locate a mole tunnel (look for raised grass mounds) dig into the run and position it so the mole can walk into and activate the trigger mechanism.Works very well.. made strong and should last.....Sitting in my chair I feel pleased but sad that it had came to this... If he'd made his home 10ft the otherside of my garden then we could both of grown old together.... Not now.....

I bought this after having various success and failure with other types of traps. This trap is very easy to use. I can set in a minute and it has successfully worked for me. You do need to follow the instructions but if you do it's an easy to set and effective product. It's expensive but it's very well made and because it works that's not an issue. For me there were absolutely no issues with catching fingers or setting the trap, I would say if you manage to catch your fingers or can't set it you are doing something seriously wrong.

The trap worked for me. It took a few days but worked, presumably when the mole returned to that section of the tunnel run.Is very sturdy. Spring is very strong and it sprung a couple of times when I was trying to put in, so best be careful with it.Is a bit costly but proved effective.

I bought this in the vain hope that I could catch the almost blind, shovel footed beast that was tearing up my lawn. I got all excited when it arrived, and after reading the instructions I went out to put it to work. Now, I had read and inwardly digested said instructions and followed them to the absolute letter. You might think, "Well what could possibly go wrong?" The first thing that went wrong was that when I prepared the ground to set this baby up, every time ( and there were quite a few of them, believe me) the stupid thing kept going off. By "going off" I mean it closed with a rather good bang....well not an actual bang, but I'm sure you get the gist. FINALLY, I got it to stay open in the correct position so I put back the earth as per instructions. I went back into the house full of hope that the velvety beast of the lawn would be no more. Oh how wrong I was! I kept checking it....for 3 long days I checked it at intervals, but Mr Velvet Shovel-Foot decided that he'd go around the catch him, finish him device and make tunnels and hillocks elsewhere instead. You might say it was "User error" and trust me, I doubted myself. However when I decided to remove the catch him, finish him device, it had in fact done as it says on the box and had "gone off". I tried again in a few of Mr Velvet Shovel-Foot's other abodes and the same thing happened. So, said contraption no resides in the garage surplus to requirements and Mr Velvet Shovel-Foot lives to make more tunnels and hillocks for many more days and my once beautiful lawn resembles a green bouncy sponge.

A bit expensive

Bought one as looked very well made and simple to set up and use....but after watching videos and having 4 attempts at catching I still have not caught in this trap. Bought 2 much cheaper claw traps and set up at same time as this trap and first night....nothing in this but my cheap claw trap had caught one. I am sticking with this and will hopefully catch one eventually ? but would recommend buying 3 or 4 of the cheaper traps and go with those rather than one of these expensive (ineffective so far?) traps.

The mole in my garden was driving me crazy. Swissinno Supercat mole trap to the rescue. Trap set Friday morning. Mole dead Friday afternoon. Super easy to use, safe and super effective. It’s more expensive than other traps on Amazon, but very much worth the money. I bought 2, have no regrets and would highly recommend. Positioning in a good location is key. If there are any more moles about, then their days are numbered.

Follow the instructions and it worked over night. Two weeks later a new mole arrived and again followed the instructions and it worked over night. Yesterday a new mole hill. Set the trap at 09:00 and by 11:00 the third mole was dispatched. Well made and is doing the job better than my neighbours solar sonic sticks. I’d recommend it as it’s doing the job. XXX...OK an update for all those that have struggled. New mole hills have started again in my garden and the neighbours. I've been trying for over a week and cannot catch the mole or moles. But it has worked on the first three attempts so I know its possible. So if at first you do not succeed, re read the instructions and keep on trying. If I had to recommend something its still buy this product but don't expect to catch them immediately.So its now level.... The trap won the first half and they have come back in the second. Its now extra time and I'm confident of a win.OK another update. After a few weeks got it. See photos. Tips would be don't bother in the wet, the soil gets in the way and blocks the mechanism. Dig a small hole and find a tunnel with the trap set tight against the run. Have it set ready to snap shut. Plus keep trying. If in doubt re read the instructions. Good luck. XXXOX.

Première pose, première prise.Donc rien à dire, c’est parfait.

I tried voor two months to catch a mole that turned my lawn into a subway system. Tried two types of mole catching devices. Both went of multiple times without catching the mole. The device worked 100% during the first night.

Avendo un giardino devastato dalle talpe ed ormai in preda alla disperazione, dopo aver provato vari rimedi elettronici di nessuna efficacia, ho deciso di provare anche questo Supercat. Si tratta di una trappola realizzata in acciaio per la parte che va inserita nel terreno e plastica tipo abs per la parte esterna. L'aspetto è decisamente robusto e la molla di carica ha una forza notevole. Le istruzioni in dotazione sono molto chiare, grazie ai disegni, l'uso è semplice: si individua il tunnel in uso al roditore e si crea un piccolo buco, sufficiente per far entrare la trappola che viene caricata semplicemente premendo le due parti in plastica esterne. Occorre impratichirsi nell'arte di individuare i tunnel attivi e nel predisporre un foro che non desti sospetti alla talpa. Ricordatevi di usare i guanti durante le varie operazioni per evitare che la talpa si accorga che avete operato nel terreno. Io l'ho provata, ed in pochi giorni ho già avuto un risultato positivo. Sono soddisfatto del prodotto e credo che per come è fatto durerà a lungo.

J'en ai pris deux et je pense que c'est la solution pour se débarrasser rapidement des taupes. Les parties en métal sont inoxydables, le ressort est puissant, attention aux doigts... Lorsqu'il se déclenche, il ne coupe pas la taupe mais l'immobilise et l'animal qui est cardiaque décède dans les minutes qui suivent. Ce qui est difficile c'est de trouver une galerie que la taupe pratique souvent et non une galerie secondaire. Avec une tige il faut sonder autour d'une taupinière fraîche en cercle tous les 5 cms, sur deux sondages la tiges va s'enfoncer beaucoup plus c'est la galerie. Ensuite découper a la truelle un rond de 10 cms de diamètre et enlever la terre du trou et sonder les bords avec la tige pour trouver l'entrée et la sortie de la galerie. Déposer le piège armé sans trop l'enfoncer et juste recouvrir le dessus pour ne pas que la lumière passe. Il ne faut pas reremplir le trou avec de la terre mais juste couvrir le dessus. Si il y a de la terre dans le trou la taupe en poussant la terre devant elle va déclencher le piège sans se faire prendre. Si il n'y a pas de terre dans le trou alors la taupe pousse sur le piège et se fait prendre. Si au bout de 24 heures le piège ne s'est pas declenché il faut le changer de place c'est que la galerie n'est pas une galerie principale mais une secondaire. En 1 mois je le suis débarrassé de mes 4 taupes. Et maintenant avec deux pièges si je les pose des que les deux premières taupinieres apparaissent je les chope en 24h max. Le produit est absolument excellent, ne s'use pas et fait le job. C'est le produit que je cherchais depuis de des années, je recommande sans aucune réserve.Edit du 03/2023: Lorsque j'ai une taupinière qui apparait 2-3 fois par an, je pose les deux pièges et je choppe systématiquement la taupe dans les 24 heures qui suivent. C'est LA solution que j'attendais depuis plusieurs années. C'est le piège ultime contre les taupes, je recommande toujours autant! Attention je manipule toujours le piège avec des gants pour ne pas laisser d'odeur. L'accessoire rond pour faire des trous avant de poser le piège est complètement inutile, j'utilise une simple truelle à main de jardinier et c'est parfait!

Trop massif et les taupes évitent la galerie piègée. J'ai mis d'autre pièges qui ont fonctionnés dans les deux jours.
