Whole apartment smells like camp fire smoke. I've had this open for 10 minutes nowIt has been 2 days and the smell is only in the shower area now. The soap still smells unpleasant and does not make for a pleasing shower experience. However the skin irritation I had that caused me to buy it in the first place has gone away. So it at least does not leave me with a lingering itch after I shower. And it does not leave my skin feeling dry. I cannot say I would buy it again at this point but it seems to be a good product.

Whenever my skin allergies hits, Grandpa Soap is there to help. The smell is a hit or miss. The smell of pine tar reminds me of staying on the deck of a ship so it is in a good way for me. It is refreshing, leave my skin clean without getting it dry. Tried couple other pine tar soap and this works best for me. Well packed and came intact.

I like Grampas soap .....Lathers nicely, cleans and doesn't dry my skin, all natural.

The actual soap is great. It does a great job in the cleaning function, but man that smell is terrible. I bought this to replace some of the commercial gold bar soap, help with healing my psoriasis, and have been happy with the cleaning ability, but that pine tar smell, it stinks. I am going to use it since I bought it but won't buy this scent again.Cost was good. Moisture level is pretty dry. Longevity is unknown at this time.
