Excellent journal
I've been purchasing these journals for years. They have been difficult to find because I believe this series has been discontinued by the Journals Unlimited company. I am just lucky to be able to find them here on Amazon. The reason I love this journal so much is because it has everything you can think of to begin and maintain a healthy lifestyle. There are prompts for you to write down your daily goals, what are you most proud of, what are your challenges, what do you plan to achieve for the day, what are your future goals, just to name a few. There are sections to record your mood, weight, resting heart rate, water intake, and supplements you take. On the back page you can record your food intake, and activities you perform on a daily bases. Starting a health journey can be daunting, this journal keeps you grounded, so you can see the progress you make in all areas of your life. I feel that in order to get healthy you need to look not only to the physical aspects of your life but the emotional and spiritual side as well. I've never seen a more complete fitness journal as this one. If you are looking for an all encompassing fitness journal then I highly recommend you give this one a try. You might just discover something new about yourself.

More an emotion journal than a food journal
This journal is sturdy, which makes it nice for carrying around daily. It takes much abuse. But I found myself not using it because it didn't have enough lines for anything. There are 3 lines for each meal, which really isn't enough. I also wished there were more lines for macronutrients. It only has spots for calories, fat, and carbs. I would have liked room to record fiber and protein. There also isn't enough room for anyone who eats snacks through the day or after workouts. There is one small snack section at the bottom of the page.I did like the intent of the non-food journal on the back of the page, the main reason I wanted this journal. But it really fell short. The section for exercise is entirely too small for me. There is one line that says "Exercise/Activity". Under that line is a split line with "What" and "how long/many" on it. Then there are 4 lines dedicated to "With whom/where" which seems odd. It's good if you just go to the gym and do one thing, but many days I like to record a little more information and there just isn't room for it.I think this is a very interesting twist on the normal journals that have no room to write anything but food and exercise, but I'm just disappointed that in an effort to record the emotions/feelings, they forgot to leave enough room for the actual diet/exercise information.

Very nice journal!
I just received my journal, and I absolutely love it. It is very well made. If the other reviewer had a problem with the quote on the bottom of the page, that's no reason to deduct stars. It's very easy to cross it off and put in a quote of your own. Or, I just change the word "thin" to "fit" in my mind. "Nothing tastes as good as fit feels" would be very appropriate. In any event, I'm happy to have a journal I can use to track my fitness goals & keep so I can refer back to it when necessary. I tried a couple of on-line tools, but both were very cumbersome in how to enter in all your food and nutrition information. I just wanted something easy that I could jot things down in, and this fits the bill perfectly.

Best buy ever!
This book provided more useful section I did not know of before I place the order. Since it has food intake section with spots for calories, carbs, and fat. There is an area for you to jot down your daily exercises along with intensity level and reps. They have integrated a section for you to write down your daily goals before you begin your day. All in all great book for anyone trying to lose or track their habits along their personal journey.

Services its purpose
It's a bit large to carry around in the average purse but leaves a lot of room for writing and notes and post its. I like the fact that it is so big. It provides two pages for each day.

Not so much a journal...
This book is very classy looking and I think it would be great for those that are more into filling in charts or keeping stats. I was looking for more of a free-lance journal, but the pages of this are already structured so that I'm more or less filling in 'information requested'. Great, durable and fun, just not for me.

Not very useful
The area for recording food intake has three lines only for each meal. So if you eat a piece of chicken, a veggie, a drink, and bread or dessert, there is not enough room to record it all. I had a breakfast of 1/2 grapefruit, 1 wheat english muffin, 2 pieces of turkey bacon, skim milk and fresh OJ, and I could not record the meal, not enough room. I gave up on this journal after two days.

Great quality. Worth the $
Works well for what I want to track. Sturdy...I have several of these from tracking my medical appointments to keeping track of home repair and maintenance.
